Postgraduate Supervisions

i have started to supervise my first postgraduate student in 2012. My first PhD students was from Somalia and he is interested in qualitative case study which is aligned to my research interest. My second supervisee was a Nigerian who was interested to research on Accounting Education. both graduated before the year 2020. the third and fourth supervisees were both from Iraq. It took them about 4 years to complete their PhDs and graduated to fly back to their beloved hometown. I had a tough time trying to drive them to work towards the goal and target of completing their theses. One of them had to change his scope of data collection from Iraq to Malaysia. my fifth supervisee was from Indonesia, the neighbouring country. He was hardworking as well and was able to graduate in 3 years of study. As for the students that have graduated above, i was the main supervisor for all of them. However, i thanked my co-supervisors who have helped a lot in guiding the students until they are successful.


Currently I am supervising three (3) postgraduate students from China. For two of them i am the main supervisor and the other one I am the co-supervisor. The two students  whom I am the main supervisor are now preparing to defense their proposal, and we expect them to be able to defense by August 2024.
