- Developed strategic plans with senior management team to strengthen risk and compliance culture particularly in overall improvement of ORION reporting and governance requirement, strengthening embedded risk functions in First Line of Defense and reduction in non-compliance incidences.
- Led the risk team of 38 person strong in the monthly preparation of internal reports covering all risk ambits for Board Risk Management Committee (BRMC), Management Risk Committee (MRC), Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) and as well as periodic reports to BNM covering asset size of RM34bil and deposit size of RM39bil.
- Chaired monthly Risk Working Committee (RWC), IT Risk Working, Committee (ITRWC) and Shariah Risk Working Committee (SCWC) to drive improvements of internal controls and policies in bank.
- Strengthened bank wide Model Governance structures for MFRS9 engine and introduced new Acquisition and Behavioral Scorecards for retail portfolio which have helped to sustain overall NPL rate at 1.01% and ECL of 2.25% to date.
- Introduced independent Post Approval Credit Review scope to enable more refined approach at overall portfolio management.
- Led Risk team in Climate Risk journey via incorporation of relevant requirements in CCPT, TCFD and VBIF into existing guiding documents owned by Risk Management department.
