- Specific Roles: - Unit Trust selection and distribution - Sourcing and proposing product offerings to clients, based on their specific needs and viability of the product
- Some of the success stories here include the launch of multi-asset income and growth strategies and Asian-focused strategies
- Fixed Income security selection for NDPM offering - Based on customer needs, the offering may vary (long/short duration, degree of carry, capital structure preference)
- In tandem with automation of the list, I helped to grow the wealth sides' bond AUM in 2022 by three-fold from 2021
- In non-MYR fixed income alone, I played a key role in increasing the AUM size from MYR 66 million to MYR 207 million in notional amount
- This also translates to 4 times in trade activity, and 3 times in client participation
- Fund of Funds strategy allocation - Starting in 2023, I played a significant role in the active allocation and strategy selection of our fund of funds, helping to manage across growth and balanced strategies
- We have 12 members total, having reviewed and covered more than 300 funds, with active coverage across approximately 50 for active deployment should the team so choose during specific market cycles from the likes of PIMCO, UBS, UBAM, Lazard and others
- Alternative Investment selection - Actively sourcing private market deals for clients, the bulk of the offerings tend to be income-oriented in nature
- Just prior to being a permanent member, I was the first to launch a Private Equity offering for clients in Enterprise and Infrastructure SaaS, a very different asset class for the company's client base
- I have also successfully launched a Private Credit fund focusing on mezzanine deals in Asian Infrastructure assets, to give clients both income generation and equity multiples
- This also requires active management and extensive relationship-building with counterparties such as Keppel, Oaktree, KKR, and other prominent alternative asset class managers.
