Chemical Milling

• Process owner of Chemical Machining(NADCAP AC7108/5).
• Develop, optimize and stabilize chemical milling engineering processes.

Heat Treatment

• Process owner of Heat Treatment (NADCAP AC7102).
• Develop, optimize and stabilize Heat Treatment engineering processes.
• Conducts investigation to assist in resolving heat treat mechanical and technical problems.
• Updates and adjusts programs for heat treat recipes as needed.

Analytical Laboratory

• Set up of laboratory to be able to achieve all the testing requirements for Chemical Milling line and Heat Treatment processes. As per customer manual SABRe, AS9100 and Industry Standard.

General Tasks

• Responsibilities includes but not limited to, Leading NPI activities on these processes, creating Manufacturing documentation, Engineering procedures.
• Responsibility for Consumables, and process Costs.
• Managing Chemical Laboratory & Heat Treatment procedure qualifications.
• Updates and adjusts programs for heat treat recipes as needed.
• Involved in Process Improvement to either reduce costs, times and to achieve Zero defects (100% RFT).
• Analyzes engineering change notices, determines any part or process
  change, initiates, and implements all changes
• Responsibilities includes but not limited to, Leading NPI activities on these processes, creating Manufacturing documentation, Engineering procedures.
• Involved in Process Improvement to either reduce costs, times and to achieve Zero defects (100% RFT).
• Analyzes engineering change notices, determines any part or process change, initiates, and implements all changes.

• Responsible for independently and effectively performing various laboratory analysis, developing lab improvement projects and in-charge of overall lab operations
• Manage all quality control while developing laboratory procedures which include continuous process improvement, chemical handling and lab safety to ensure precise and on-time compilation and escalation of analysis results to support First Solar stakeholders
• Accountable for shift operation performance.

• Assist researcher with their projects such as analyzing unknown samples from consultation session
• Analyze and operate samples using analytical instrument such as GC, HPLC, IC ,UV-VIS, AAS,and FT-IR
• Being part of the research team in publishing journal and academic articles
• Characterization of polymer material from external customer using TGA (thermo gravimetric analysis)
• Involved in project Lignorust : Environmental rust remover Malaysia Technology Expo 2014 (MTE 2014) gold medal
• Summary: Lignin extracted from Empty fruit bunch (EFB) used rust remover
• As an effort towards reusing bio-waste.
