Duration: Jan 2017 - June 2017 Liaise with related stakeholders to identify project selection and prioritization in the Define phase. Having identified the project, work closely with the process owner and related functions across the organization to measure and analyze the situation, using various tools. Identified the potential solutions and successfully handed over to the process owner and continue monitoring. Achievement: Successfully completed Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Latest estimated saving = RM2.626mil up to Jan 2018 (soft saving).
  • Recommended any small improvement ideas with the main objective to eliminate non-value added activities for more efficient business process. Among small improvement projects implemented at Malakoff Corporation Berhad:
  • 1. Enhanced payment process efficiency - reduction from an average of 45 days to a maximum of 30 days from receipt of invoice to payment.
    2. Advocated for e-procurement (e-sourcing and e-auction) through the use of online procurement software, resulting in savings of RM1.2 million after two months of implementation.
    3. Streamlined the procurement process by eliminating unnecessary steps, refining the evaluation methods, and updating the criteria.
  • Monitored any implemented improvement measures to check the effectiveness with process owner and follow-up on any saving realized with Finance Department.
