As the Head of Department (HOD) of Facilities Management at Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad, you will lead and oversee all aspects of facility management to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations. Your key responsibilities include:
1. Strategic Planning & Operations Management
* Facility Policy Planning & Implementation: Develop and enforce policies and procedures for facility maintenance and management.
* Workforce Management: Supervise the maintenance team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
* Facility Performance Monitoring: Evaluate facility operational efficiency and introduce improvement initiatives.
2. Maintenance & Safety
* Periodic Maintenance Schedule: Ensure all equipment and infrastructure are maintained according to schedule to prevent breakdowns.
* Safety Management: Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health standards, including risk management and safety audits.
* Emergency Response: Develop and manage emergency response procedures for situations such as fires or natural disasters.
3. Budget & Resource Management
* Budget Preparation & Monitoring: Prepares annual budget for facility maintenance and operations and monitors expenditures to ensure cost effectiveness.
* Procurement & Contract Management: Negotiates and manages contracts with vendors and service providers, ensuring quality services at reasonable costs.
* Resource Optimization: Manages energy and other resource usage efficiently to reduce operating costs.
4. Compliance & Documentation
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensures all facility operations comply with local laws and regulations as well as industry standards.
* Records Management: Maintains complete records of maintenance, safety incidents, and audits for reference and compliance.
* Reporting to Senior Management: Provides periodic reports on facility status, critical issues, and improvement recommendations.
5. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
* Use of Latest Technology: Identify and implement new technology to improve facility efficiency and safety.
* Staff Training & Development: Promotes ongoing training programs for the team to ensure they are kept up to date with industry best practices.
* Process Evaluation & Improvement: Evaluate existing processes and introduce improvement measures to increase productivity and service quality.
