Arif Danial Abdul Rahim

A highly motivated and culturally attuned individual with strong leadership and organizational skills, committed to fostering cross-cultural understanding and driving impactful initiatives.

• Global Network Club, Universiti Malaya (2021–Present) Actively contributed to GNC since 2021, taking on roles in Media and Technicalities, Welfare and Wellbeing, and Ethics and Protocol divisions.
• Served as Chief of Events and Programmes, responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and managing events that foster connections with international students in UM, as well as deepening the bonds of the members within.
• Dean's List Awards Ceremony (6 semesters): Oversaw logistics, stage management, and team coordination to deliver a seamless ceremony that is highly regarded within the faculty.
• Summer Enrichment Programme: Led cross-cultural exchange initiatives, managing 300+ of participants of multiple universities from Japan and South Korea, across four separate occasions.
• MyJICA Japanese Cultural Day (7th Nov 2024): Coordinated logistics, recruited Japanese exchange student volunteers, and emceed the event workshop, promoting the Japanese cultural activities.
• Engagement at Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan (29th Sept 2024 & 12th April 2025): Presented Universiti Malaya's Summer Enrichment Programme (SEP) to students at Kwansei Gakuin University, explaining in Japanese and English to 10+ students on the program's cultural immersion and academic opportunities, addressing inquiries and sharing personal experiences to inspire participation.

The Kalsom Movement (NGO) – Volunteer Educator (Mar 2022–Aug 2022) 

• Designed and delivered 7+ educational modules on critical topics such as discrimination in education and national unity to a group of high school students from MRSM Kepala Batas, Penang.
• Facilitated workshops to build students' confidence in public speaking and project planning, culminating in successful project pitches to panel judges. Mentored students in developing and implementing community initiatives, such as awareness campaigns and educational outreach programs.

Global Lounge, University of Seoul – Volunteer (Oct 2022–Dec 2022) 

• Coordinated cultural exchange and promoted the Global Lounge to students interested in foreign language exchange, particularly those wanting to improve on their English, contributing to the growth of the lounge's community.
