- CNBC (Singapore & London) - New Broadcast Facilities
Dec 2021 - Jan 2023
Associated with IDEAL Systems Group
Client: Consumer News and Business Channel, Singapore - CNBC
Relocation of CNBC's Singapore broadcast facility to a state-of-the-art facility in Mapletree Business City. As the project manager and engineer, I oversaw the migration of the live broadcast facility from the old site to the new one, as well as the design and construction of the new facility's Headend - Master Control Room, Production Control Room, and Computer Equipment Room (CER). The project also included the creation of NDI-enabled Mini Studios in Singapore and London for social media content creation, live broadcasts, and disaster recovery. The relocation project began with conducting a technology audit of CNBC's existing facility and systems, identifying equipment that could be relocated to the new facility and recycling older equipment. Together with my solution design team, worked closely with CNBC's Vice President and Director of Operations, as well as project team leads, to coordinate systems design across multiple broadcast equipment manufacturers. Despite deploying many new broadcast systems, the migration and new facility build had zero impact on CNBC's 24/7 operations. The successful transition had zero impact on CNBC's 24/7 operations, further building on a thirty-year relationship between Ideal Systems and CNBC.
