I have been in the banking industry since year 2004. Before entering the banking industry, I was attached with the hospitality industry, namely Sutera Harbour Resort and Spa.
Since entering the banking industry, I was privileged enough to work with some prestige banks such as Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC Bank, United Overseas Bank and CIMB Bank.
I can confidently say that i am an all rounder with awards and recognition. When it comes to retail banking products such as CASA, transactional banking, credit card, personal financing, ASB financing, wealth management, new to preferred plus referral to SME and Commercial business among others.
I am currently managing 32 Personal Financial Consultant (PFC) individual in CIMB for Sabah region and to ensure they are able to hit their personal target by giving them guidance, create opportunity for them and to motivate and managed them. CIMB PFC Sabah is currently number 1 nationwide in ASB to date.
Currently, now is the next step whereby I wish to further my career
and is keen to manage and operate my own branch and to bring it to further heights and to the next level.
As a Strategic Alliance Manager, I am in charge for assisting Regional Director for CIMB Sabah on various products for retail banking.
Products such as remittance, CASA, Online banking (CLICKS), offsite event.
Eventually my responsibility was added on by managing 32 Sabah Personal Financial Consultant individual to ensure that Sabah Region hit ASBF , which we did and is currently at number 1 nationwide.
Beside all the products stated above, I also garner in corporate / sme customers, preferred customers and refer to branches in order for all 13 branches in Sabah top hit their target for the region.
All and all, I am currently in training for 1 year to be a branch manager. Currently there is no vacant BM post in CIMB.
As a Relationship Manager for Commercial Banking, I am responsible to evaluate existing borrowing customers for renewal / managing current portfolio that is under me, to garner in new borrowing customers for the department and to build up the relationship with new and existing customers.
As a Relationship Manager for Merchant in UOB Bank, I am responsible to farmed (managed) and hunt (acquiring new business) for our merchant department in Sabah.
Global Payment Sdn Bhd is a subsidiary company for HSBC Bank who is in charge to acquiring and to managed merchant portfolio for HSBC.
Global Payment Sdn Bhd was set up in HSBC Kota Kinabalu and me being the pioneer for the company. I was the hunter and farmer (managing and acquiring businesses) at the same time until we recruited 2 more manager the following year later and was running the business successfully.
I was a credit underwriter for SME loan under RM 50k. I was assigned to evaluate business premises and to asses the consistency and credibility of the applicants.
With the assessment done by my end, I will write a credit report on whether it is viable for the borrowing to be approve with the last review from SCB HQ Head of Underwriter.
