Additional Information

Throughout my career journey, I've undertaken various roles that have contributed significantly to my professional growth and expertise in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). These roles have allowed me to make meaningful contributions to the organizations I've been a part of.

  • Commenced my OSH career at NIOSH Malaysia in the capacity of a Technical Executive. My primary responsibilities involved establishing the NIOSH Office in Kuching, Sarawak, and orchestrating the coordination of all NIOSH courses in the region.
  • Joined SMDS as an HSE-MS Advisor, where I assumed the crucial role of ensuring the effective implementation of all elements of Shell HSE MS as a Single Point of Accountability. Additionally, I served as the HSSE Focal point during the SMDS Plant Turnaround in 2007.
  • In 2008, I expanded my responsibilities to include the role of Project Manager for the HSE Improvement Project at SMDS. During this tenure, I oversaw the implementation of various improvement initiatives, including the introduction of Fire Retardant Coveralls, transitioning the Petrol fleet to Diesel Fleet, and implementing Process Safety enhancements such as Personal CO Detectors.
  • My role at SMDS continued to evolve, encompassing positions as a Technical Safety Engineer, Process Safety Lead, and ultimately, Section Head for Operational Safety. In these roles, I played a pivotal part in enhancing safety practices and compliance.
  • From 2019 until 2021, I served as a Specialist in Operational Safety at Petronas Carigali, a key player in the Upstream business of PETRONAS. Here, I continued to leverage my expertise to contribute to safety excellence.
