1) NPI RFQ (Bid to Bid Business & Awarded)

• Lead employees performing professional sourcing duties, ensuring appropriate assignment based on special qualifications and knowledge.
• Ensure appropriate methods of sourcing requirements are maintained.
• Monitor or participate in major dollar procurement negotiation.
• Meet with key suppliers to promote the Company’s best interest concerning all matters dealing with the purchase of materials and services and to identify changing market conditions.
• Assure compliance with contractual and customer requirements.
• Review progress of team activities and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

• Track HIT rate on any new awarded & lost businesses.

2) Customer Control/Contract Parts & Global Corporate Price Management

• Communicate with contractual & strategic suppliers to align the prices with other T&Cs that have been negotiated between Customers & Benchmark Global Commodity Managers.
• Review overall packages & award suppliers by leveraging the cost efficiency.
• Declare & disseminate to Purchasing team on the changes for new suppliers’ new business award.
• Attending issues encountered by Buyers, Supply Chain, Program & Business Development Teams, specifically for price or other T&Cs discrepancies.
• Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.
• Major customers: EMERSON, AVIAT, LENNOX, HONEYWELL, PHYSIO STRYKER, ZOLL MEDICAL.

• Support the quotes for all electronic components and strategic activities thru effective management of the supply base strategy and commitments to cost efficiency.
• Drive quote based on RFQ checklist and commit with a delivery based on lowest price, lowest excess and ROHS compliances.
• Review quotes to ensure that the suppliers selected are consistent with mutual relationships / partnerships that we are attempting to establish.
• Manage and develop supply base which provide good support in quoting activities.
  Identify creative ways by streamlining process and systems.
• Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.
• Work closely with suppliers on strategic pricing, cost reduction & lead time improvement.
• Work with Materials Planners & Buyers to ensure that strategic suppliers support overall business & NPI successfully meet customer target date.
• Collaborate for CE & NPI Engineer for any alternate parts as a replacement for problematic parts or in order to get better cost reductions.
• Assist respective Commodity Managers for PCB, Metal, Plastics & Cable assembly to disseminate drawings & populate quotations in Costed BOM.
• Assist group of buyers in solving any pricing or supply issues with allocated suppliers.
• Responsible for managing & coordinate all new RFQ bids especially for VVIP customers.

• Manage customers’ order & ensure timely and accurate customer requirement input into SAP based on PO or forecast from customer for material driving purpose.
• Processed and logged customer orders and enquiries daily using Customer Relationship Management Systems.
• Follow up with supplier and shipping to ensure the shipment delivery is meeting customer requirements.
• Prepare necessary shipping document details per customer’s requirement to Shipping Personnel for shipment arrangement.
• Maintain good communication skill with vendors to develop supplier-customer relationship.
• Follow up closely on expediting / push-out / pull-in all parts in compliance to meet the frequent fluctuations of delivery schedule.
• Manage supplier performance (Quality, Cost, Delivery).
• Issuing Purchase order, prepare weekly PO reschedule report, Quarterly Supplier Rating.
• Provide support in overall companywide Environmental Management Program(s) / Occupational Health & Safety Management Program(s), and report any accidents, emergency, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, near misses, pollutants, and other hazards to EHS Engineer/Safety & Health Committee Members.

• Track and manage quotation process with global suppliers to ensure timely response to meet business requirements.
• Source materials and setting up new parts to support global NPI activities.
• Liaise with regional or customer contacts to resolve on quotation/AVL issues of new parts being sourced or execute BOM re quotes activities to meet competitive terms & conditions from suppliers.
• Driving the suppliers towards meeting an aggressive price targets, lead time reduction and better MOQ to minimize liabilities/Inventory impacts.
• Setting up new suppliers and vendor code in ERP Databases and negotiate for better payment terms.
• Keep track of the market trend related to the key commodities and strive for better cost competitiveness.
• Primary interface between the Commodity team groups such as Corporate Commodity Managers, Bid Teams and Site Customer Focus.
• Perform reporting to present progress reports to management and CFT teams periodically on projects being assigned.
• Required to keep all confidential data at secured environment and accountable for Quality auditing periodically.
• Implement business driven activities like web quoting, e-business activities.
• Support local sourcing initiatives for cost advantages if necessary.
