Summary

My goal is to continuously assist the upcoming generation in their education career by helping them grow and develop their knowledge, while helping the Institution maintain its reputation. These would be done by implementing successful teaching practices learned over the past few years of studying and working as a lecturer with students of different culture and background. I consider myself a dynamic Lecturer with four years of successful Marketing and Management experience. Known for interesting lectures with helpful supporting materials and detail-oriented classroom management. Dedicated to individual student success and comprehensive understanding.

Research Interests

My research interests covered both marketing and management disciplines. My masters focused on management of business event industries while my PhD covered marketing of the medical tourism industry in Malaysia by looking at the factors that might influence the decisions of medical tourists to choose a destination. My interests are on marketing, and tourism management research. With my teaching more recently, I have also developed specific interests on digital marketing, marketing insight, supply chain management and business strategy research.

Research Grant

Responsible tourism Grant - 2022 (Completed), Part of a team that secured the responsible tourism grant of approximately RM50, 000 from the Sarawak Tourim Board (STB), My contribution will be towards marketing aspect by providing expertise on destination branding of the industry and guidelines for sustainable practice.

  • Golden Key International Honour Society, Recognised in the top 15% of peers, based on academic achievement, as validated by Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak Campus, granted all honours, benefits and privileges to membership of the Golden Key International Honour Society, effective 2012
