  • Joined as Chief Operating Officer - Commercial and later became Director of Commercial
  • In later 2019 until the middle of 2023, took up additional role as CEO of its subsidiary involved in the purchasing and sales of natural gas to its various customers
  • The company started as the sole distributor of natural gas via natural gas distribution pipeline system (NGDS) and purchasing and selling natural gas to residential, commercial and industries in Peninsular Malaysia except to major petrochemical plants and power plants
  • In 2019, the Third-Party Access (TPA) was introduced to the gas industry involving non-power sector where the purchasing and selling of natural gas is open to competition from other Shippers.
  • During the tenure, the major achievements are: spearheaded the setting up of new business areas and secured various joint venture deals/partners namely: develop a virtual pipeline business by selling natural gas to customers beyond the NGDS areas, (major developer and operator of virtual pipeline business in Peninsular Malaysia with at least an 80% market share) develop Combined Heat and Power (CHP) businesses for industrial customers, develop the biomethane business by harnessing biomethane from palm oil mills and landfill operators and selling to customers via the NGDS
