Research

A comparison between a local public and a private higher education institution on the execution of effective quality assurance policy: Target setting, assessment and implementation, Quality Assurance (QA) in higher education is a systematic management tool to ensure public accountability, customer satisfaction, international reputation, and competitive advantage of higher education institutions. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyse the implementation process of QA policy at two higher education institutions in the proximity of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This study employs the qualitative approach, using multiple-case study in which data were collected through interviews, observation and questionnaire. The interview participants in this study were involved in the process of QA policy implementation and familiar with the inner lives of the two institutions under the study. Validity and reliability of the data of the study were ascertained through triangulation, on-site engagement, member checks, peer examination and audit trail. Throughout the analysis of data, constant comparative technique was used to investigate within-case and cross-case patterns., Research conducted for Masters: Service Quality in Private Higher Education Institutions in Klang Valley, Malaysia: A Study on International Students’ Perception., Self-efficacy as a mediator between CareerEDGE and Self-Perceived Employability among undergraduate students in Malaysian private higher education institutions
