Accomplishment:

Longi Wafer Plant, 2016-2020.

• Successfully decommissioned 36 units of old DS271 Wire Saw machines within the tight schedule (3 weeks) set by management.
• Successfully recommissioned long shutdown equipment, DW288+ Wire Saw, for production ramp up and maintaining yield at 95% in collaboration with various parties.
• Created troubleshooting database for DW288+ to enhance troubleshooting competency of shift technician, thus reducing machine downtime.
• Created work instruction and preventive maintenance checklist for new setup DW288+ Wire Saw machine.
• Cost-saving improvement projects include modification of the wire break detection system to enhance detection sensitivity, minimizing severe wire break cases by 70%, and evaluating a qualified 2nd source pulley with 30% cheaper cost while maintaining the operating lifetime.
• Lead the conversion project of DW288+ from low-flow mode to high-flow mode for yield improvement.
• Coordinate with the vendor in solving problems during the conversion work to ensure no delay of the project, and the machine is released to production run with a 94% yield.

Longi Cell Plant, Jan 2020 - Present.

• Pioneer team to set up new Longi Cell 3 plant in 2020, and Longi Kuching Cell 4 plant in 2022.
• Meet target to complete machine move within 10 weeks, and full production line released within scheduled 4 months.
• Main coordinator in Longi Kuching new Cell 3 Plant and Cell 4 plant machine unloading & uncrate activity with ZERO safety incident among Equipment team as well as contractors.
• Participate in project to make Longi Kuching Cell 4 plant the most advanced with fully automated manufacturing production via implementing Autonomous Guided Vehicle system.
• Lead team to increase printing machine productivity by 5%, through optimizing machine parameters, which improve cycle time from 0.9s to 0.85s, without compromising quality.

Accomplishment:

• Involved in the start-up phase of the newly constructed manufacturing company, MEMC Kuching Sdn Bhd, in 2010 and contributed to producing the company's first product (solar wafer) in January 2011.
• Completed 44-unit DS271 Wire Saw machine setup within schedule and with minimal supervision in 2011.
• Successfully developed the Condition Based Maintenance in vibration analysis using Viber X5 MK III to monitor machine healthiness in 2014.
• Upgraded maintenance practice from preventive maintenance to predictive maintenance.
• Involved in the evaluation phase of the new generation equipment DW288+ Wire Saw, as well as tool setup in 2015.
