• Provide clinical support and troubleshooting for patients on home hemodialysis (HHD).

• Maintain accurate patient records, including dialysis logs, incident reports, and clinical notes.

• Monitor aseptic techniques and cleanliness of the home dialysis environment.

Sales Support & Clinical Feedback

• Develop an in-depth understanding of renal products: Hemodialysis machines (Fresenius 4008S Haemodialysis (HD) Machine, Fresenius 5008S Hemodiafiltration (HDF) Machine, dialyzers and bloodlines, catheters and vascular access devices, and dialysate solutions and concentrates.
• Act as the technical expert for both internal teams and external healthcare professionals.
• Stay updated on product upgrades, competitors, and clinical evidence.

• Provide clinical training and support during product implementation in hospitals or dialysis centers.
• Guide nursing staff and physicians on correct usage, safety, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Attend dialysis sessions to observe product performance, and optimize usage.

• Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and hands-on training for: Dialysis nurses, biomedical engineers, and procurement teams.
• Create training materials, manuals, or video guides for product use.

• Respond to on-site or remote requests from healthcare providers for troubleshooting dialysis equipment, or related supplies.
• Work closely with biomedical service teams for machine calibration, maintenance, and after-sales service.

• Support the sales team by presenting the clinical benefits of the product to doctors, nurses, and decision-makers.
• Provide feedback from the clinical setting to the marketing or R&D teams for product improvement.

• Ensure compliance with local medical device regulations (e.g., MDA in Malaysia, FDA, and CE standards).
• Maintain accurate logs of product usage, complaints, and clinical outcomes as part of post-market surveillance.
• Represent the company at renal conferences, trade shows, and product launches.
• Keep up with current trends in nephrology, dialysis therapy innovations, and competitor products.

Curriculum Implementation Mentoring & Professional Development Professional Development & Evidence-Based Practice

• Deliver clinical teaching and bedside training for students enrolled in the Post-Basic Renal Nursing program.
• Supervise and evaluate students' performance during: Hemodialysis procedures, peritoneal dialysis, and pre- and post-transplant care.
• Demonstrate safe, evidence-based practice in real clinical settings.

• Translate theoretical knowledge into clinical application based on curriculum standards.
• Align teaching with the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Malaysian Nursing Board, or an equivalent education body’s requirements.

• Conduct clinical skills assessments (e.g., vascular access care, dialysis machine operation, infection control).
• Monitor and assess student progress through logbooks, reflective journals, and case presentations.

1) Surgical Nurse 20 January 2012 - 18 February 2016

• Review the patient’s medical history, consent forms, and surgical checklists.
• Prepare the operating room (OR) with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure in coordination with the surgical team (Time-Out/Safety Check).
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients before surgery.
• Maintain the sterile field, and pass surgical instruments to the surgeon.
• Count instruments, sponges, and needles before and after surgery.
• Assist with wound closure and the application of dressings.
• Transfer patients safely to the recovery room (PACU).
• Provide post-operative handover to the recovery nurse.
• Monitor for immediate post-op complications (e.g., bleeding, airway obstruction).
• Document operative notes and nursing care accurately.

2) Hemodialysis Nurse 19 February 2016 - 1 March 2018

• Assess patients' vital signs, weight, fluid status, and vascular access sites before, during, and after dialysis.
• Monitor for signs of complications (e.g., hypotension, muscle cramps, infection, and clotting).
• Evaluate lab results such as electrolytes, hemoglobin, and urea/creatinine levels.

• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines (e.g., priming dialyzers, connecting tubing).
• Insert needles into AV fistulas or manage central venous catheters.
• Monitor machine pressures, dialysate flow, and ultrafiltration rate during treatment.
• Adjust dialysis parameters based on the patient’s condition and the doctor’s order.

• Observe and respond to adverse reactions during dialysis (e.g., nausea, chest pain, air embolism).
• Perform CPR, or emergency interventions, if needed.
• Record all observations and actions taken during the dialysis session.
