As a Head of Asia Pacific Fixed Income Clearing and Settlement overseeing all aspects of the company's treasury settlement operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, managing bank relationships, resolving settlement discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize financial risk within the treasury function; essentially leading the team that handles the final execution of financial transactions across various currencies and markets.
Settlement Operations Management:
Overseeing the day-to-day bonds settlement activities ensure the processes within the risk and control framework across all HSBC bank entities in Asia Pacific including Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Australia, Macau, Thailand and London.
Monitoring settlement timelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Identifying and resolving settlement discrepancies and issues with banks and counterparties.

Recruited as a lead for 7 staffs in handling all treasury products settlements, risk & control, fast respond to changes in new rules & regulations from all aspects. A wide range of products handling :
1) Foreign Exchange transaction, FX option & Derivatives/structured products, Money Market, Fixed Income, client valuation, Futures, Cash Collateral Management, Equity Derivatives and Issue NID.
Scope :
- Handling settlement of all products transaction mentioned above.
- ROM, ESS reporting - Directly liaise with Front office, internal and external clients any issue.
- outstanding Trade confirmation monitoring - End of day reconciliation.
2) Cash funding projection - Responsible to monitor across 28 currencies to ensure there is no shortfall balance to avoid Overdraft which imposed a lost to a bank.
- To ensure all the daily currency exposure are within the SCEL. (Single Customer Limit) threshold, Provides accuracy cash position from time to time to our trader
- To perform daily reconciliation on each cash position inline with regulatory requirement.
3) Regulator Reporting
- Responsible submit the Fixed Income Shortsell reporting to Central Bank (Bank Negara Malaysia) on weekly basis.
