  • Lead in project management and fabrication sequence of jacket, topside (Wellhead & CPP) and subsea from foundation stage until completion of main structure based on approval procedure/ MOS by client.
  • Coordinating and monitoring construction activities at site from prefab, erection, installation, and handover specific system to commissioning based on project planning package, project client specification with high productivity.
  • Key role interfacing and providing technical inputs and reports on behalf of Construction Operations within Sapura Energy organization

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Production Planning, Fabrication and Erection

  • Manage day to day production planning to ensure ACQ is met. Amongst key responsibility, to ensure project performed safely, timely and in accordance with Project requirements.
  • Responsible to update pre-fabrication and erection progress as per actual progress at site and need to attend daily / weekly meeting with Construction Manager.
  • Responsible in preparing / reviewing structural material list (pipe/beam/plate) to monitor / expedite its procurement, delivery, storage and plan its sequence of installation at site based on priority.
  • Responsible in preparing and take off structural item from IFC drawing for progress monitoring in structural item installation database. Able to interpret structural symbol on IFC drawings for take-off; and experience in knowing the installation sequence using IFC drawings issued out by engineering.
  • Liaise with Project Management Team regarding incoming and outstanding material, Material Take Off (MTO), ordering new equipment / materials and updating any issues happened at worksite.
  • Liaise with Planning Department in preparing structural work planning and schedule to ensure project completion is as per schedule (4 weeks look ahead plan).
  • Liaise with Engineering Team regarding lifting plan & analysis and any issues in fabrication & erection which require their advice. One of lifting advisor from operation teams to execute projects from foundation stage until loadout and sail away operations.
  • Participates in project meetings and provides occasional advice / suggestion to projects teams and liaise with Engineering Department with regards to structural engineering issues / modification pertaining to the project specification / detail design.
  • Provide engineering support in term of review drawings, constructability study report, PDMS review and installation plan to mitigate any contractibility issues before approval for construction. Work closely with Engineering team on any technical issues arising from site and lead the supervision and resolution of work onsite.

Field Operations

  • Lead operation for structure and mechanical installation items including safety items until testing and commissioning.
  • Monitor overall production uptime (planned and unplanned) and review production deferment to identify the root cause of production deficiencies and work towards to closing the gaps.
  • Supervising well site operations personnel, including the training and supervision of crew members, to ensure that everyone works as a team to meet deadlines based on planning package to get client's satisfaction.
  • Assist construction superintendent in term of technical data, subcontracting work and scope of work
  • Coordinate field construction work with all department in term of equipment, materials, manpower, CNC cutting and workshop fabrication
  • Coordinate work sequence at site for fabrication, installation, QC and NDT work from first cut until loadout and sail away
  • Responsible for personal/workers safety and safe working practices. Understand and ensure compliances with OSHA standards as well as compliance with standard fabrication procedures by all personnel under supervision.
  • Prepare / Review Work Packs, Man-hours and cost estimates, material take off and work procedures for projects.
  • Liaise with client from Operations, Drilling, HUC team and all other disciplines to fulfill their requirements for offshore operations during fabrication, erection and installation stage.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Analyze, understand, and apply Standard Management Systems / Tools /Methodology in carrying out the best and efficient sequence to achieve project milestones.
  • Evaluate and implement best practices, lessons learnt in relevant discipline through project implementations and information sharing in management project meeting so as to capture and incorporate into Company's Technical Standards.
  • Liaise with Contracts Department with regards to contract preparation and technical clarification in related with subcontractor's scope of work.

Operations Performance Excellence Reporting & Data Management

  • Manage fabrication work using SMAT Material, SMAT Plan Construction, WQMS. One of lead panel from operation team on SMAT system guidelines and improvements.
  • Prepare structural fabrication and erection procedure, lifting procedure, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) with reference to Client's standard procedures, contract, and specification. Author for several company procedure for Sapura Energy.
  • Provide DPR (Daily Report Progress) ,PMS (Progress Measurement Sheet),Rundown Curve for daily project reports

Personnel Development

  • Develop the team of direct reports and support their development, actively supervise individuals competences in his/her team. Ensure that direct reports understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Carry out performance assessment and career development for team members.
  • Provide leadership in meeting the approved company's production KPIs

Health, Safety, Quality & Environment

  • Liaise with Clients on any issues regarding structural matter in aspect of welding sequence and quality, Non-Destructive Test (NDT), material defect, orientation, and installation, also the dimensional control for positioning and leveling. One of lead panel for every project audit from documentation to site executions.
  • Prepare / Participate in Risk Assessments as required to ensure safe execution of work.
  • Provide leadership to the production team in meeting the approved company's KPIs and HSSE/AI targets.
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental management procedures and controls across the engineering plan to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
