SELAYANG SHIPPING


  • Led the acquisition of Integrated Container Terminal (ICT) Sdn. Bhd. in 2012.
  • ICT was a container depot in Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), Johor – it is over 6 acres and can fit over 500+ containers at any one time.
  • Was appointed CEO of ICT on behalf of Selayang in April 2012.
  • Leads the supply dry bulk cargo freight services to TNB Fuels, for delivery of coal to power points across Malaysia from over 40 destinations across the world.
  • Selayang has supplied these freight services to TNBF for over 15 years (over 17 million MTs of coal, worth almost RM1 billion), since 2008.


ZAWINA MOROCCO


  • Co-founder of local skincare company Zawina Morocco (ZM) - a Moroccan beauty heritage brand that sells products from Morocco in Malaysia and Singapore.
  • ZM is a growing organically, steadily gaining market share.
  • ZM is one of the leading suppliers of Argan oil in Malaysia.
  • Developed the 'Farm-to-Skin' concept and defined a successful narrative for the brand.
  • Implemented and managed successful Google Ads Search and Shopping campaigns for ZM.


FORTE DRUS


  • Played a key role in bidding for the supply of 18 units (one squadron) of Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) to RMAF, including its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) activities, in a submission to an international tender floated by the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) Malaysia, in June 2021 worth over RM4 billion.
  • ForteDrus is the exclusive local representative for Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) of India. HAL is an Indian state-owned juggernaut in the international aerospace industry (USD3.2 billion revenue in 2022) and themanufacturer of the Tejas, a leading LCA jet fighter in its class.
  • Led a successful marketing campaign for HAL's products and services over a 2 year period.
  • Played a key role in managing the RFP (tender) submission.
  • Played a key role in managing, designing and developing the Industrial Collaboration Program (ICP) for the bid, driven by local content i.e., manufacturers, assemblers, software developers, training, etc.

AZIMUTH INTERNATIONAL


  • Azimuth International entered a Joint Venture with Holovis UK (Azimuth Holovis) to bring Extended Reality (XR) Technology and Immersive Solutions to Industry, Education and Entertainment in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
  • Holovis UK is a global market leader and winner of the ‘Company of the Year’ Award at the World AV Technology Awards 2020 by Installation Magazine.
  • Played a key role in developing the blueprint and Business Plan (BP) – ideation, strategy, resourcing, networking, financial modelling, branding, marketing and designing the target operating model for Azimuth Holovis’ market entry into Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
  • This BP was submitted to MDEC as part of a plan to grow the local XR industry and as part of a national grant application.
  • As a result, this JV was promoted by MDEC as a Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) success story – the first-year caped investment would be more than RM30million.
  • The JV signing ceremony was organized by MDEC, at the Malaysian High Commission in London, UK, witnessed by the Deputy High Commissioner to the UK.
  • BP focused on developing a strong talent pool for XR technology, to empower prolific creation of Malaysian Intellectual Properties (IPs) in XR technology that can be exported across the globe.
  • Developed a world class network of international XR entertainment content creators who are winners of prestigious international XR film festivals i.e., Cannes XR, Venice Film Festival.
  • Secured RM 1 million from the MDEC Global Technology Grant (GTG) for Azimuth Holovis.
  • Secured the Malaysian Digital status for Azimuth Holovis.
  • Project Director for a VR project to develop a twin VR environment for a massive international oil rig theme park being developed for the Oil & Gas Development Corporation (OGDC) of Saudi Arabia, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia, the national sovereign wealth fund.


INTEGRATED CONTAINER TERMINAL


  • Assigned to the CEO role by Selayang post-acquisition in 2016.
  • ICT is a depot for container engineering, refurbishment and storage services at the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), Johor (over 6 acres, stores 500+ containers at any one time).
  • A challenging project – ICT needed work to transform into a sustainable and profitable company.
  • Headed a successful transformation program - ICT became a sustainable business within 2 years.
  • The business is currently valued between RM15 to 20M.
  • ICT counts some of shipping’s biggest names as our customers, such as Maersk and CMA.


PHUTURE PHLOW


  • Became Manager of the Hip Hop group Phlowtron, who regularly toured and opened for Joe Flizzow /Too Phat at the time.
  • Owners and promoters of the ‘Neyo: Live in KL 2010’ concert at Sunway Lagoon, collaborating with Celcom as title sponsor.
  • Produced the TV series ‘Projek Pop’ for 8TV, a behind the scenes look at concert promoting based on our experience with ‘Neyo: Live in KL 2010’.
  • Developed an international talent booking network.
  • Produced music videos for Joe Flizzow, Yuna, Hujan, Butterfingers and others.
  • Phuture Phlow won Best Music Video at the Anugerah Industry Music (AIM) Malaysia in 2008 for Butterfingers’ ‘1000 Tahun’.
  • Produced Joe Flizzow’s hit singles ‘Apa Khabar?’ and ‘Baek’, that was filmed in New York. I was part of the management team that went to New York to film.
  • Produced corporate videos for Petronas, Mercedes, Airasia, Celcom, and KFC, among others.
  • Appointed the Digital Media Agency for Suzuki from 2013 to 2015. We grew Suzuki’s Facebook followers from 500+, in the beginning, to 180k+ in around 2 years.
  • Appointed Marketing Agency for Sanrio Hello Kitty Town and Thomas Town in 2016. Sanrio Hello Kitty and Thomas Town is owned by Themed Attractions, Resorts and Hotels (TARH), a subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Berhad.


ERNST & YOUNG


  • Part of the PROKIT team in Khazanah Nasional Berhad (KNB). PROKIT was responsible for overseeing a collection of high value IT projects for KNB – I was lead of the Disaster Recovery Planning team and part of the overall Project Management Office (PMO).
  • The KNB account was an award-winning account at the time.
  • Part of the Enterprise Cost Reduction (ECR) team sent to Petronas Retail Thailand Corporation Limited (PRTCL), in Bangkok, Thailand, to design a plan to transform PRTCL into a sustainable business.
  • Part of the PMO in a proposed demerger exercise for TM.
  • Part of the PMO for various IT systems implementation projects in Takaful Malaysia and Tabung Haji.
