· Collaborates with supervisors and subordinates to understand and comply with the company's environmental policies and is committed to safeguarding the environment.
· Manages the Engine Office. Creates and maintains the status of requisitions for the Engine Department. Prepares LGAs and other documents as instructed by the Staff Chief Engineer or the office.
· Assists the Staff Chief Engineer in the reporting and management of the Planned Maintenance.
· Maintains the Amos System. Reporting of content errors and abnormalities to the office and assists in correction of errors. Monitors the entire Amos System regardless of the department and reports erroneous usage to the Heads of the Department. Receives the orders as indicated in the AMOS procedures.
· Oversees the Technical Assistant and is responsible for all the Engine Stores. This includes the training of the Technical Assistant. To check the inventory and the stores for correct storing practices and to ensure that quantities are accurately reflected for all stores he controls. To issue stores as needed. To periodically take counts on locations to ensure correct counts, proper storage and usable quality of the stores
· Trains and supporting all AMOS users in the use of the program.
· Uses Amos for receiving, issuing and storing of goods and for inventory control.
· Responsible to label, tag, repackage and place them in the correct bins as required by Amos.
· Responsible for checking deliveries against requisition and purchase orders for correctness and updating AMOS to reflect materials received and ensuring orders received are closed in AMOS properly and promptly.
· Ensures all repaired items have a tag with the repairers name and date of repair.
· Controls the distribution of parts and tools maintaining a list for the latter as required by the Engine Department.
· Responsible for packing all items that are to be sent out for repairs, as instructed.
· Keeps oxygen and acetylene room in proper and good order, checks operation of exhaust fans, and ensures new gas bottles are ordered when needed.
Completion of advanced degree in computer systems and/or engineering
Ability to coordinate projects, assign priorities, resolve issues and work without supervision
Working knowledge of computers and the ability to navigate within varieties of software packages such as excel, word and power point
Excellent communication/social skills
Working knowledge of MS Windows and AMOS software
Technical knowledge of Marine spare parts
