- I am presently employed as the Site Engineer overseeing the 'Orel One Project' nearly 40000 sqm, three-story building project located in Meegoda, Sri Lanka
- Our role encompasses the oversight of the key elements such as the main structural framework, roofing, both exterior and interior wall installations, roof liners, and the construction of staircases
- Our commitment to meticulous supervision ensures the successful realization of this ambitious project
- I successfully completed another project for 'Variosystems' in Badalgama, Sri Lanka
- This project comprised a 15000 sqm, four-story structure, encompassing various elements such as the main structure, roof, exterior and interior walls, lift structure, and two connecting bridges as well, all constructed under our supervision
- In addition to the aforementioned projects, I provided my unwavering support for the successful realization of the '350MW Sobadhanavi Power Plant Project', covering an area of 2700 sqm and 1500 sqm in Kerawalapitiya
- Furthermore, I actively contributed to the execution of the 'Snackings Pvt Ltd' building project, spanning 4100 sqm within the BOI zone in Biyagama
- Additionally, I played a pivotal role in the development of building projects 2600 sqm for 'Maliban' in Dehiaththakandiya and 4000 sqm for 'Toyota Lanka' in Rathmalana
- Before the initiation of any project, an extensive preparatory phase is imperative
- My role encompasses a comprehensive review of project drawings, ensuring alignment with client specifications and architectural directives
- Upon securing client approval, my responsibilities extend to a meticulous examination of erection drawings, verifying each element's accuracy and compliance with design intent
- Subsequently, I conduct a thorough comparison of Bill of Materials (BOM) quantities against the corresponding specifications in the drawings
- Any disparities or omissions prompt immediate communication with our counterparts at Zamil Steel in Vietnam or the UAE, our primary material suppliers
- Upon satisfactory reconciliation of BOM and drawing discrepancies, I proceed to verify the packing list against the BOM, confirming the accuracy of materials slated for shipment
- In the event of identified discrepancies or missing items, I promptly initiate the requisite documentation process by submitting a 'site claim form' to the appropriate personnel at Zamil Steel
- This rigorous protocol underscores our commitment to precision and quality assurance, serving as a foundational practice for all projects undertaken, ensuring seamless project commencement and execution

- I effectively managed the completion of two projects for Siam City Lanka Ltd, which involved the fabrication and erection of a new Fly Ash Silo with a capacity of 500 tons in Puttalama
- Our team was also responsible for constructing the reinforced concrete basement for the silo
- The second project entailed the construction of a Slag Storage Building designed to store slag
- A significant aspect of this project was the erection of a 6m high reinforced concrete retaining wall surrounding the building
- This particular task posed a notable challenge and constituted a major component of the project's execution
- Notably, those two projects were conducted in strict adherence to rigorous safety regulations
