  • Evaluate new product to be used at front line texturing process
  • Create new storing database system in Excel to track usage of burnishing tape in pilot and production line
  • Monitor daily performance of laser texturing machine by analyzing built bump on calibration disk
  • Work together with pilot team to perform root cause analysis to resolve product issues
  • Particle count checking and scribing of media disk using optical surface analyzer(OSA) machine
  • Inspect water contact angle of media disk surface to check wettability of the disk
  • Work with chemicals for texturing process
  • Use Minitab to process and graph collected data for performance evaluation
  • Assist engineers on project tasks
  • Apply 7 QC tools as an approach to problem solving for future improvements
  • Apply 5S system in lab room to improve storage efficiency and eliminate waste
  • Meet daily with superiors to discuss project implementations
  • Produce reports each week, updating senior leaders on progress
  • Give presentations of completed work to section manager
