  • Develop and maintain a technical and commercial database for analyzing new generation capacity and plant extensions, while developing the annual planning and review of the Peninsular Malaysia Generation Development Plan.

  • Oversee consultancy implementation through monitoring and management to ensure adherence to terms of reference
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Assist the Electricity Pricing Unit in assessing tariff proposals under Incentive-Based Regulation (IBR) and charges proposal under new frameworks; and

  • Cross-Border Negotiations:
  • Conduct negotiations with international parties regarding cross-border electricity supply, ensuring alignment with government policies.
  • Emerging Technologies Assessment:

  • Produce Electrical Cable Schedule for Central Processing Platform (CPP) and Living Quarters (LQ).
  • Assist in preparing Material Take Off List document for LV cables, Earthing boss, Earthing cables, and cable glands.
  • Determine size for LV cables.
  • Responsible to check and do mark-up on Single Line Diagram for sub-distribution boards.

2. Project: Gina Krog Topside EPCH (Detail Design). Client: Statoil Petroleum AS, Norway.

  • Assist Electrical Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) for GTG, Gas Injection Compressor and Re-compressor package in reviewing vendor documents, i.e. General Arrangement drawings, wiring diagram, load list and motor schematics.
  • Prepare and review Electrical Cables Block Diagram.
  • Update equipment data on database, i.e. Load rating, cable sizes, types, and routing, as well as cable gland sizes.
  • Ensure all auxiliary loads are properly supplied from switchboards and distribution boards.
  • Act as Electrical Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) for Instrument, Telecommunication, and Safety package.
  • Produce Interconnection Drawings for Instrument, Telecommunication, Safety loads as well as UPS loads
  • Responsible for cross-checking the Electrical Consumer List with Interconnection Drawings and Cable Schedule.
  • Assist in responding to Site Technical Query, mostly in updating and re-issuing drawings according to changes on site.
  • Assist in incorporating Contractor's comments on red-line mark-up to be used in As-Built drawings.
  • Ensure drawings and reports are issued and delivered in a timely manner.
