1. Production Oversight:
i) Manage and supervise the entire production process from raw material procurement to the final product.
ii) Ensure production targets are met while maintaining product quality and consistency.
iii) Develop and implement efficient production workflows to optimize resource use and reduce wastage.
2. Quality Check and Assurance System:
i) Set requirements for raw materials or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance.
Ii) Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure all products meet the company's standards.
Iii) Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production staffs, processes and facilities.
IV) Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
V) Ensure daily, weekly and monthly QC sampling and testing of all production records, with timely maintenance and filing of every batch.
3. Inventory Management:
i) Oversee inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of raw materials and finished products.
Ii) Implement inventory control systems to track and manage stock movements.
Ii) Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for timely replenishment of materials.
4. Compliance and Safety:
i) Ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations and standards.
Ii) Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
iii) Ensure the cleanliness of production workplace, general equipments & food processing machineries, adhering to safety and health practices, and maintaining HALAL/MESTI/GMP/HACCP compliance.
Iv) Monitor and maintain records of production operators' hygiene and behaviours, implement correction plans and take disciplinary action when necessary.
v) Spearhead as food safety team leader, ensuring complete checklist for HALAL, MESTI, GMP, HACCP, and ISO requirement is ready for audit at all times.
6. Audit & Others
i) Perform monthly Halal Internal Audits and prepare audit reports.
ii) Conduct monthly internal hygiene & GMP audits of the factory and provide feedback for corrective action
iii) Handle audits/inspection from JAKIM/JAIS/JAIPP/KKM/Clients
iv) Be involved in month-end stock take activities
v) Undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Implementation & Management of Halal Assurance System
(HAS)
1. Sourcing:
i) Assist in sourcing from Halal certified suppliers, and ensuring all raw materials used are qualified, valid and halal compliance with complete documentations (the halal certification obtained from supplier is recognized by JAKIM)
2. Halal Certification:
i) Ensure all products comply with halal certification standards and requirements.
Ii) Maintain up-to-date knowledge of halal certification regulations and requirements.
iii) Liaise with halal certification bodies and agencies for audits and inspections.
iv) Provide technical assistance pertaining to Halal requirements to both internal and external stakeholders
3. Halal Compliance:
i) Establish HAS by setting up guidelines/manual, documentation, reporting and administrative system, Halal Management Organization, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Critical Control Point (CCP), Technical References, and Training Programs etc.
ii) Develop and implement halal policies and procedures for the manufacturing process.
Iii) Develop and manage audit programs for Halal Assurance System (HAS)
iv) Conduct regular halal compliance audits and inspections of the production facility.
v) Conduct in-house training to all operators related to Halal practices, Food Safety & Hygienic requirements, and ensure adherence to halal guidelines.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
i) Maintain comprehensive records of halal certification documents, related records at stores and reports of Halal Committee Meeting.
Ii) Prepare and submit reports to halal certification bodies and regulatory agencies as required.
iii) Ensure all documentation is always in order, well-organized, accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
iv) Keep the Halal Committee updated with current halal information, issues, and the latest development in the Halal industry globally

i) Lead and manage the production and quality control teams.

i) Devise and review specifications for products or processes, ensuring production process and products adhere to SOP and regulatory compliance

iv) Review and approve product label artwork from the perspective of ingredient declaration, nutrition information and claims etc.
