I am an individual who hold onto principle we are not living in this
world purposeless and thus, it is our responsibilities to be driven with
bona fide values, experience and wisdom for fulfilling the purpose.
My utmost goal in career perspective is to be productive in fullfiling my duties and responsibilities. I am an individual who have passion in doing legal and general research. I am also a team player who is capable and love to work hand in hand with teammates in order to achieve the required objectives.
Hence, I strongly believe that my values coordinate with the position as a Special Officer for Bar Council Malaysia and it is an honor for me to be given the opportunity to delve into this career.
Here, I am in charge of general litigation files with more exposure to a lot of spectrum of laws such as nuisance, fraud, medical negligence, breach of contracts, etc. Besides, my litigation experience is also evolving into applying execution/enforcement of judgment i.e garnishee proceeding. Apart from that, there are cases that I am handling dealt with bankruptcy proceedings, winding up proceedings, etc.
Here, the litigation works that I handled herein were confined to divorce cases (non-muslims), grant of letter of administration and grant of probate. Apart from that, I also undertook conveyancing files that are limited tenancy agreement, wills (for non-muslims) and small estate distribution (for non-muslims).
Here, as a Professional In-House of this Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), my job dealt with as follows:-
*The realm of international and/or state law specifically upholding children’s legal rights in cases such as in the issue of children of illegal immigrants and refugees, undocumented children in Sabah, child labour, human trafficking and exploitation involving children, delivery of humanitarian aids to war zones or countries with deadly conflicts or sufferings, etc.
*Besides, I received multiple trainings in management in order to work in a systematic team/division in strategically handling the donation and campaign programmes of UNICEF. Besides, during the campaign programmes, I expand my interpersonal skills, leadership and fluency in communicating with the public from various walks of life on their awareness towards the humantarian works of UNICEF.
*From around end of January 2016 to 21st March 2017, I did my chambering (pre-requisite for acceptance as a practicing lawyer) and executed legal works in the area of civil litigation concerning legal matters involving the Contracts Act 1950, The National Land Code 1965, the Bankruptcy Act 1967, the Law of Tort, the Law Reform (Marriage and Divorce) Act 1976, The Sale and Goods Act 1957, mediation, etc.
*On 22nd March 2017, I was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor by the High Court of Malaya. Thereafter, I did legal works as a civil litigation lawyer here in the areas of civil litigation concerning matters as abovementioned. Further, my legal works as a lawyer also involve dealing with clients of the firm such as individuals, banks, companies, etc that enhance my inter-communication and negotiation skills that I humbly believe it is very important value for a legal assistant of a firm.
*Through the programme called Experience Works Grant, Yayasan 1MDB-Yayasan Sime Darby (Scholarship-Internship), I was assigned through the above programme to work as an intern under the abovesaid Grant in one of the IIUM’s department i.e. Institute for Language Advancement (IfLA).
*Basically, my job scope here revolved around in being part of the management team in providing language courses i.e. Malay, English and Arabic to foreign students in order for them to prepare for the IIUM’s compulsory language examination-requirement prior to the university study entrance.
*I was also able to experience in becoming the facilitator i.e. assistant for teachers in a few of English courses for the foreign students of IIUM as well as for the exchange-student programmes i.e. from Thailand and Korea
