• Responsible in the coordination of analytical tests of internal & external samples relating to the production of magnetic medias, which are mainly chemical oriented
• Managed the operations of the GCMS (Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometer) & the GCFID (Gas Chromatography Flame Ionized Detector)
• Chemically extract and prepare samples to be injected into the GCMS/GCFID machines for data extrapolation
• Interpret and quantify results obtained as presentable data for engineers to produce reports based on analysis of samples
• Timely maintenance of instrument health so that the machines are in prime working condition
• Troubleshoot instruments if machine is down and unable to perform analysis in a normal and timely manner
• Delegation of samples to shift colleagues in order to maintain balance between the frequency of samples received and the rate of completion
