Accumulated sixteen (16) years of experience in Petroleum Engineering, Completion, Workover and Intervention with exposures in Wells Operations, Wells Front End and Wells Contracting. Started as a workover engineer for the first three (3) years which main scope was to design and plan challenging workover wells ranging from highly corroded wells to multiple mechanical-failure wells requiring cement squeezing, additional perforations, milling operations, tubing and casing retrieval operations. Part of the workover scope was recompletion of wells whereby tubing sizing, flow assurance, metallurgy, artificial lift and unloading analyses were performed. Extensive experience in Malaysia, Indonesia and Turkmenistan gravel pack operations and designs. Managed, designed and led gravel pack sand control involving multiple gravel pack tools and pumping techniques, for examples, the conventional Stack and Pack, Shunted Screen Alternate Path System (APS), Single Trip Multizone (STMZ), Enhanced Single Trip Multizone (ESTMZ), Single Trip Perforation and Pack (STPP). Designed and performed multiple pumping techniques such as Circulation Pack, High-Rate Water Pack (HRWP), Extension Pack (EP) and Frac Pack (FP). Pioneered a new technique in PETRONAS whereby a resin consolidation job is conducted first prior to fracpacking the zone of interest. The multizone resin sand consolidation job was performed via straddle packer in single trip to save time and cost. Acquired knowledge and experience in Open Hole completions through implementation of Open Hole Stand Alone Screen (OHSAS) in high-deviated, horizontal and extended reach (ERD) wells. Pioneered the first implementation of Open Hole GeoFORM screens in PETRONAS which involved detailed design and laboratory works. Among the most challenging operations is running completions in Pressurized Mud Cap Drilling (PMCD) mode due to total losses in a carbonate environment. Supervised Permanent Downhole Gauges (PDGs) installation in various fields. Performed front end engineering works for future fields which involved water injector wells with high grade metallurgy (25CR) and Glass Reinforced Epoxy (GRE) tubular as well as planning and designing High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) wells and Coiled Tubing Completions (CTC). Pioneered Smart Gas Lift (Digital Intelligence Artificial Lift) installations in PETRONAS, matured the technology application in the industry where it is replicated in various parts of the world e.g. ADNOC and Conoco Phillips. Focal person in Fracpack design and technologies in PETRONAS. Initiated and lead installations of Smart Fracturing Sleeve (LIMITLESS Systems) for Fracpack application in a high-permeability and conventional formation. Conducted academic research on geomechanics with Professor Robert Zimmerman (Imperial College London), a leading expert in the field. The exposure on geomechanics helps to ensure a better and a more optimized sand control design especially in fracpack operations in PETRONAS. Experienced in contracting after 16 years of experience in the industry. Lead procurement and bidding exercises and being responsible as a contract owner of multiple contracts i.e Pan-Malaysia Upper Completions, Sand Control, Smart Gas Lift, Smart Fracturing Sleeve, Upper Completions for Local Contractor, PDG for Local Contractor, IDCS Turkmenistan. Qualified as a Principal Engineer in PETRONAS as assessed by David Humprey, a leading Well Engineering expert (2022)
