With over 15 years of experience in the public sector, I have developed core competencies in stakeholder relations, policy analysis, and project management. My mission is to contribute to the economic development and social well-being of Malaysia and the ASEAN region, by fostering strategic partnerships and enhancing regional cooperation. As the Principal Assistant Director at Ministry of Economy Malaysia, I lead the unit that coordinates Malaysia's economic partnership within the ASEAN subregion, covering four key initiatives: BIMP-EAGA, IMT-GT, JMCIM, and JDS.
In this role, I am responsible for preparing policy directions, monitoring progress, reporting outcomes, and facilitating communication among various stakeholders, both internal and external. I apply my skills in policy drafting, in-depth analysis, and problem-solving to ensure smooth and effective implementation of the initiatives, as well as to address any challenges or issues that may arise. I also leverage my MBA degree and my previous experience as a Principal Private Secretary to Deputy Ministers of Transport and Rural Development, to provide insights and recommendations on the future policy and direction of the country and the region.
