• Create detailed design specifications, drawings, and documentation using CAD software.
• Manage multiple design projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure project alignment.
• Work closely with suppliers and vendors to select appropriate materials and components for design projects.
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and clients to ensure clarity and alignment on design goals.
• Oversee the development of prototypes, coordinating with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production.
• Plan and conduct testing to validate designs against specifications and regulatory standards.

Mechanical Design and Prototyping, Testing and Validation, Design for Manufacturability, Documentation and Reporting

• Create detailed 3D models and drawings of components and assemblies using CAD software.
• Develop prototypes to validate design concepts, including mechanisms for mounting, cooling, and user interaction.
• Plan and conduct tests to evaluate the performance, reliability, and durability of mechanical components.
• Analyse test data and iterate designs based on results to meet quality and performance standards.
• Design components with manufacturing processes in mind to ensure ease of production and assembly.
• Work with manufacturing teams to identify and resolve potential production issues.
• Maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, assembly instructions, and testing protocols.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate design progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
