Work History

Senior Staff Nurse

Pantai Hospital Batu Pahat
07.2019 - Current
  • Transition and Training: Initially transferred from Gleneagles Medini to Pantai Hospital Batu Pahat to lead the development of a new Cathlab unit, despite having no prior experience in this area. As the Cathlab was not yet operational, I was assigned to Pantai Hospital Ayer Keroh for two months to gain hands-on experience and learn the procedures and protocols for running a Cathlab.
  • Establishment and Leadership: Successfully returned to Batu Pahat to spearhead the setup and launch of the Cathlab. Collaborated closely with Cardiologist Dr. Timothy James Watson and two junior nurses to establish efficient operational procedures and ensure smooth functioning.
  • Professional Development: Completed an Advanced Diploma in Cardiovascular Technology at ILKKM Sultan Azlan Shah, Ulu Kinta (2023/2024 intake), achieving a CGPA of 3.98. Gained advanced skills in Trans-Thoracic Echocardiography (TTE), Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), Holter monitoring, and various invasive Cathlab procedures, including PCI, COROS, Rotablator, IVUS, and Electrophysiology studies.

Registered Nurse 3

Gleneagles Medini
11.2017 - 06.2019

Initially assigned to the Emergency Department due to the absence of a burns unit, I embraced the opportunity to grow in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. I quickly adapted to frontline care, gaining hands-on experience in managing diverse emergency cases. My daily responsibilities included venepuncture, IV line insertion, and assisting in patient resuscitation. I became proficient in triage, ensuring patients were prioritized and treated appropriately.

I also completed BLS and ACLS training during my time here, further enhancing my clinical skills and response readiness.

Registered Nurse 2

Security Forces Hospital Program
05.2015 - 05.2016

I began in the General ICU for 6 months, gaining foundational experience in critical care while the Burns ICU was still inactive. When the Burns ICU opened under the Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Department, I transitioned into a 1:1 care environment managing complex burn cases across all age groups. This specialized unit includes 5 beds (4 adult, 1 pediatric), and focuses on treating burn injuries, inhalation trauma, and related complications.

During my time here, I completed BLS, ACLS, and a specialized Burn Critical Care course, further advancing my clinical competency.

Staff Nurse

Hospital Sultan Ismail
04.2007 - 03.2015

As one of the pioneer nurses in the newly established Burns Unit, I was actively involved in its setup and official launch on January 12, 2009. The unit, managed by the Surgical Department, specializes in adult burn care and includes 10 beds—4 for critical/ventilated patients and 6 for stable cases—with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Over the years, I developed deep expertise in managing complex adult burn injuries and provided holistic care, from acute treatment to rehabilitation. I also supported junior staff and assisted in a variety of surgical and ICU-related cases.
