• Supervision and daily operations. Lead and supervise a team of electricians and technicians in carrying out electrical maintenance across the shipyard.
• Allocate daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure the timely completion of electrical work on vessels and yard facilities.
• Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on yard equipment such as shipyard cranes (RTG, RMG, pedestal, gantry), shore power systems, lighting, and control panels. Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, MCC panels, switchgears, inverters, and power distribution systems.
• Provide electrical maintenance support during vessel docking, repairs, and conversion projects. Assist in shore connection services, electrical testing, and commissioning on board ships as required.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety standards and procedures (LOTO, JSA, Permit to Work, etc.).
• Ensure all electrical work complies with marine classification society requirements, and shipyard safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project engineers, planners, and other supervisors during ship repair and new build projects. Attend coordination meetings and provide technical inputs related to the electrical scope, and resource planning.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of maintenance schedules, inspection reports and daily job reports.
• Material & Inventory Control Manage inventory of electrical tools, equipment and spare parts.
• Initiate procurement requests and follow up on material delivery for scheduled tasks and emergency repairs.
• Training & Development Train junior technicians and ensure continual skill development in alignment with shipyard standards.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and briefings to reinforce technical and safety practices.

Job Scope:

• Fabrication and installation of crane wiring, and functional testing of the electrical components.
• Maintain offshore pedestal cranes (Liebherr, Favelle Favco, OG Kren, Hercules and Nutilus).
• Routine inspection of components: slew bearing, hoist, boom, winch, and wire rope.
• Prepare inspection and service reports for the OIM.
• Conduct rigging and lifting operations during backloading and offloading.
• Supervise lifting gear, NDT, load testing, LOTO, and JSA.
• Maintain RTG, RMG, mobile, and pedestal cranes.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, contactors, inverters, and motor drives.
• Service hydraulic systems and brakes.
• Overhaul cranes, replace slew bearings, and boom cylinders.
