• Project Mushroom Republic (May 2019 - Apr 2020)

Project of Enactus University of Nottingham Malaysia aligning with United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG)

which are [2] Zero Hunger, [4] Quality Education and [12] Responsible Consumption and Production. This project aims to utilize mushrooms as an avenue to empower our target community by improving their quality of life. Our target community is Desa Amal Jireh, a welfare organization located in Semenyih. In addition to that, we seek to educate entrepreneurial skills within our target community via the sale of mushrooms, resulting in better and more sustainable sources of livelihood. We collaborate with Desa Amal Jireh to host an entrepreneurial workshop for the kids by teaching them on mushroom cultivation and harvesting process, brainstorm marketing ideas on selling the mushrooms harvested to gain revenue, teach Microsoft Excel basics and formulas to make calculations with the concepts of cost, revenue and profit , the methods of handling different customers they might face during future sales, and having sales stimulation of learned concepts including management of given capital and finance, team coordination, and customer management.

• Project Green Wall (Oct 2018 - Apr 2019)

Project of Enactus University of Nottingham Malaysia aligning with United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) which are [3] Good Health and Well-Being, [11] Sustainable Cities and Communities, [13] Climate Action and [15] Life on Land. We implement vertical gardening of plants as it does not occupy much space and can be performed anywhere. We also found out the drip irrigation system after several researches to overcome the problems of watering plants manually. This project aims to save space, reduce carbon footprint, beautify and create greener environment on campus, raising awareness on the issues of climate change among students around campus, and improvement of the quality of life .
