• Prepare the operating room based on the cases of the day

• Complete the “swab and instrument counts” form and make sure all counts are correct and immediately report to the attending surgeon if any item is missing
• Handle specimen that requires diagnostic testing

Recovery Nurse

• Delivered continuous post-operative care to patients until stability achieved for safe transport to hospital room.
• Connects the patient to the required devices such as cardiac monitoring equipment, intravenous therapy for fluid and pain medication
• Monitoring and observing patient’s bleeding conditions from the operation wound, amount of blood lost from the wound drain, level of pain and their comfort level.

Receiving Nurse

• Arranging the necessary calls for patient
• Safely transporting patient according to the safety checklist provided
• Verified inclusion of all critical documents and investigations, such as X-ray films and blood tests, in patient folders to support seamless care transitions.
• Record the patient vital sign

GA Nurse

• Assisted anaesthesiologist by preparing all necessary equipment prior to procedures.
• Prepared the correct tube and size according to the surgeries
• Prepare the difficulty intubation items for all the cases
• Ensuring all the medication is completed before surgeries begin
• Ensuring the positioning device is completed for the surgeries
• Checking and confirming with the patient if they are comfortable enough while lying in the OT bed
