Klinik Kesihatan Kahang Timur, Kluang Johor (3 Years), Klinik Kesihatan Renggam (1 Year)

• Able to work alone and multitasking. Lab Tech only one person in clinic.
• Handling basic test in lab, such as biochemestry test, Hemathology (Full Blood Count, Staining for slide PBF), microbiology test (stool feme, direct smear for tibi screening, malaria and filaria), blood grouping and some other serology test.
• Performs inventory stock for reagent consumable, applicators and basic needed once a month.
• Maintains equipment in good operating condition by performing daily routine QC for internal quality, performs calibrations and do maintenance.
• Performs troubleshooting as necessary to correct malfunctions.
• Prepared some documentations especially SOP up to date, manage to keep all documentation record in safe where as there is no system LIS.
• Provided documentations for Registery Chemical for Safety Data Sheet.
• Keep PPM and Service machine reports and noted the supervisor and also the engineer specialist if anything happen to the machine.
• Notify the Medical Officers if the result shown abnormality and positive cases of dengue, HIV, Hep C in screening stage.
• Involved in RIQAS and EQAS programme for external quality every month.
• Attends CME and courses in or outside of area.

Histopatholgy Lab (2 Years)

• Performed the various tasks required for receiving, processing, and preparing patient tissue specimens for microscopic examination and analysis by the Pathologist.
• Assists the Medical Officer or Pathologist in gross examination of surgical specimens and in frozen section procedures.
• Operates instrumentation for tissue dehydration, section clearing, impregnation with paraffin, cutting tissue sections, and staining of slides.
• Prepares solutions, stains, and reagents in accordance with standards written procedures.
• Operates and maintains all histology area lab equipment in proper state of readiness, cleanliness, and sharpens and hone microtome knives.
• Properly documented all variables relative to specimen processing.
• Maintained updated knowledge through continuing education and advanced training.
• Able to determine priorities when organizing daily assignments.
• Accepts responsibility for and becomes available to work a different shift when workload or conditions warrant it.

Blood Bank Lab (1 Year)

• Performed daily inventory for blood component such as whole blood, platelet, cryoprecipitate , Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP) and Safe O blood.
• Rigorous training, strict oldest-unit-first-out (OUFO)/first-in-first-out (FIFO) principle for stock management, stringent allocation policy, diligent record-keeping, daily stock review, and monthly performance reports were identified as the key drivers for inventory management.
• Receiving, doing demography data patient in LIS, and processing sample for GSH (Grouping, Screenig and Hold) , GXM (Grouping and Crossmatch) and Antibody Identification test and sorting for outsource sample.
• Able to cope any emergency situation especially supply blood for DIVC regime cycle, emergency crossmatch during on-call and night call.
• Provided technical information about test results to physicians, family members or researchers.
• Reviewed patient charts for history information pertinent to diagnosis before performing tests.
• Maintains equipment in good operating condition by performing routine preventive maintenance, including start up and shut down procedures of major instruments
• Troubleshoots equipment as necessary to correct malfunctions.
• Performs calibration verification for supervisory review and approval.
• Consistently completes Transfusion Reaction Investigation Form thoroughly and accurately, documenting investigation, testing, and transcribing transfusionists history before submitting for supervisory and medical director review
• Internal/External Assessments – Participates as directed in corrective action plans.
