SUMMARY OF TECHNICAL SPECIALITIES

  • Loga has an overall of 19 years of experience in the industry mainly of water and environmental services related projects which includes climate change related works. SPAN under its regulatory regime provides license to water operators in the country. Loga has almost 10 years of experience and is instrumental in monitoring service licensee and authorized operator for the most populated state in Malaysia, Selangor.
  • More than 9 years of experience in EHS management and regulatory consulting in various Asian countries, this includes Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and Indonesia. Loga has been involved in various scopes of regulatory services to our clients, including developing site suitability application, regulatory database, compliance checklists, regulatory summaries, legal registers, legislative trend analysis, and local regulatory survey to clients. Other experiences include environmental due diligence assessments, regulatory support, compliance management, and permitting and site closure support for major clients in Malaysia. Latest efforts include sustainability related services, development of corporate sustainability reports, water foot printing and climate change programs for industries.
  • Extensive working experience with multinational companies including water services operators, water regulators in other countries, state water resources agencies, NAHRIM, various ministries, governmental agencies and departments including DID, DOE and oil and gas such as Shell, Talisman, Panasonic, Sanyo, Texas Instrument, Seagate, Khazanah, Kualiti Alam, UEME, Cabot Malaysia, Navis Capital, Hitachi, Seagate, BASF Petronas, Petronas, NBC Universal, Kualiti Alam., PPG, Schlumberger and many more. Loga is actively involved with downstream activities in Retail Stations, Petrol Service Stations, Depot, Refinery, and Pipelines for either acquisition, existing or divestment.

JOB SUMMARY

  • Loga has contributed and been instrumental in the completion of the following projects / tasks:
  • Implementation of GHG Accounting through Low Carbon Operating System by MGTC for the water services industry in Malaysia with a total of 380 WTP / STP covered and accounted for;
  • Resource Person in the development Emission Factor (EF) for the water services – water supply in all the states in Peninsular Malaysia & Labuan;
  • Development of SPAN sustainability reporting, materiality matters and matrix as well as internal stakeholders engagement;
  • Research on Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Plans and Impacts towards the water services industry in Malaysia, including a a resource person for the Malaysian NDC 2.0 / 3.0 development, BUR / BTR reports, Climate Adaptation Framework for Water Sector , MyNAP and National Communications (NC);
  • Project management and technical input of the research and the development of Water Safety Plan Guidelines and Water Resources Yield Study, November 2021;
  • Daily and weekly reporting (earlier was instrumental for the post cabinet reporting) on water resources, dams and water supply for the states regulated by SPAN. This includes, water resources related pollution incident data management and reporting. The data has been instrumental in the development of report on the Risk Assessment of Water Supply Dams in Malaysia, 2020.
  • Involved in the various thematic audits conducted by SPAN and this also includes the annual checking on NRW achievements for the ‘Pendekatan 2’ projects and the on-going checking and verifications of the WSP development for every operators;
  • Continuously participating in various programmes conducted by the the various agencies and department which includes Department of Environment (DOE), DID, Ministry, NAHRIM, State Water Resources Regulatory (i.e LUAS);
  • Part of team of secretariats in assisting the special investigation committees to investigate and report 2 incidents causing prolonged water supply disruption to consumers;
  • Involved as the secretary of SPAN Sustainable Goals for Team 2 and various other technical committee’s for the different programmes and projects within the water industry.
