- Ensure plant stability, Evaluate process performance and key parameters of the chlorination plant to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Led the scrubber refurbishment project and scrubber sharing system project including planning, coordination, and execution
- Troubleshot and analyzed operational issues, including low pH levels, chlorine gas flow rate discrepancies, and chlorine leakage
- Executed projects such as restore new filter, changed stainless steel s-bar plate to pp plate, modified the FRP tank cover for chlorine dipping tank to minimize downtime in order to achieve zero leakage, zero sludge and unplanned downtime
- Manage and account for inventory, usage and consumption of production material and consumables. Conducted chlorine and caustic soda consumption studies to reduce operational costs.
- Glove aging test and physical property test were carried out to standardized the chlorine ppm level in the range of 100 ppm according to different weight and color of the gloves
- Collaborated with vendors for major improvement project such as ejector relocation, scrubber fan balancing, Chlorine gas room enlargement project to optimize the chlorine usage in order to solve the some regular issues permanently.
- Ensure daily, weekly and monthly maintenance were followed to maintain the quality of production
- Contribute to management systems, cooperated with Department of Environment (DOE) on environmental pollution control and Department Safety and Health (DOSH) on machinery matters
- Revise, optimize or improve current plant equipment and facilities.
- Consider ergonomics, environmental protection, sustainability, and occupational health and safety
- Ensure all projects are within budget.
- Co-ordinate with other supporting departments such as: Logistics on transportation of chemicals, QC and Tractability team on process methods and controls, Procurement for materials and services requisitions
- Conduct on boarding training and upskilling training for operational staff.
- Ensure the quality management system aligns with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 by performing audits, identifying improvements, and suggesting corrective actions to uphold and enhance quality for every department.
