- Involved in design verification of 800W Auto-ranging programmable DC power supply functional. Evaluate the transient, output noise, feedback loop gain and phase margin of the power supply using instrument such as Oscilloscope, Digital Multimeter, Electronics Load and Network Analyzer.
- Using the prototype test data, calculate the specs budget to validates the new product if it will meet the specifications but also estimate if it will also meet the required production yield target using statistic (6 sigma process)
- Designed a platform of a display and processor board that will be used as a reference design for multiple low cost product.
- The design involved design of DC-DC converters, LCD power supply, 100BASE-T and USB 2.0 high speed routing, simulation of signal integrity, board voltage drop and current density with Hyperlynx.
- Lead a team engineers on the testing, root cause analysis effort from start to end, such as voltage regulator accuracy and noise, 100BASE-T and USB2.0 pre-compliance testing, digital signal integrity, end-product functional test, climatic test and EMC test
- Troubleshoot EMC failures such as ESD air discharge induced product failure, analyze the failure mode and implement design change to improve the ESD immunity.
- Designed a voltage reference board for new generation of multimeter products, develop the test boards for mass design verification of the voltage reference and test methodology.

- Follow up with R&D to ensure DFM issues are resolve before product begin mass production
- Develop PCBA (Printed Circuit Board/Assemblies) Assembly Document for PCA Contract Manufacturer (CM)
- This document will specify how the component should be mounted or processed before ship to production (E.g Wave soldering, manual soldering, Vapor Phase and etc.)
- Develop PCBA ICT and functional test plan, then work with test fixture supplier to fabricate test fixture
- Develop and code the test application and release to CM for PCA testing to ensure good board is shipped to production
- Develop product specific and repair process flow
- Improve the process as needed as product completes Proto Builds
- Analyze and troubleshoot production, quality and reliability failure, determine the root cause and implement corrective action to ensure no re-occurrence and to meet target product yield at the end of Stabilization Period

- Improve product first pass yield, quality and reliability by troubleshooting product failure from production, field and Out-of-Box defect; determine the root cause and then implement corrective action to resolve the failure
- Oversee product end-to-end process, providing technical guidance and support starting from PCBA assembly and test, all the way to high level product assembly, functional test and quality assurance
- Ensure uninterrupted product shipment and Assurance of Supply (AOS) by qualifying new replacement component to replace component that was discontinued by supplier
- Identify suitable replacement component by reviewing the datasheet, develop qualification test plan based on the functionality of the component on the circuitry, execute the test plan and then analyze the test result to determine the suitability of the component
- Maintain and/or update product safety report to ensure the integrity of the report and comply with latest safety regulatory body requirement
- Participate in product cost saving project to improve product gross margin
- Provide application related support to customer
