With over 20 years of experiences in the field of semiconductor manufacturing & 3 start-up experience as pioneer batch, I bring strong value in optimizing the process & driving operational excellence. Throughout my career, I held multiple roles including Process engineering, People management (Supervisor), Project engineer & Customer engineer. I've worked closely with all cross functional teams across the entire value chain from supplier to customer, ensuring collaboration, quality & sustained result.

Senior Customer Project & Process Engineer

  • Implant process steering & beam tuning by using the newly introduced AIX/FSS system (Field service server) which is representing as an In-situ measurement to measure process & parameter while tool is running. This is a pro-active approach instead of traditional way of measuring product quality after process is completed.
  • Carried out projects with customer to improve uptime, manhour & cost. Some projects that being working on & succesful is to use FSS system to improve beam tuning success rate, reduce beam tuning time, reduce premature ion source failure & downtime improvement.
  • Work with customer & field service engineer to brain storm 8D investigation, solve any issue identified, implement action items thru weekly meetings, daily & weekly reports sharing & highlight any abnormality observed to the team for immediate action.
  • Frequent customer visit & present monthly report performance to customer management on project achievement, cost saving, etc.
  • Work with counter parts globally to install new AIX/FSS server, improve FSS system, server issue resolution or driving solution to a problem.
  • Setup AIX/FSS modeling, trend analysis, root cause analysis thru multiple signal, traces & univariate charts.
  • Study trends & tool behaviors to setup proper control limits to the parameters.
  • Setup notification warning & alarms to trigger any deviation in process parameters & develop OCAP.
  • Brief & train field service engineers/technician regarding any new practice introduction such as FSS ticketing system, new tool connection to server & etc.
  • Train field service engineers (Implant/Etch/MDP) on FSS usage for day to day problem solving.
  • Track all the related KPI's & ensure on time closure.

  • Ensure cycle time, lead time and customer takt time are met by close follow up on the tool up time, FIFO concept, line balancing, quality and manpower issues.
  • Test wafer inventory and turnaround management. Work with Europe counterpart for test wafers shipments and reclaim projects.
  • Involved with Lean projects to enhance productivity, work standardization and minimize waste/non-value-added activities.
  • Work with modules and vendors for Test wafer cost/quality improvement by carrying out projects. One of the cost saving project is to use internal grinder to reclaim the scrap production wafers.
  • Achieved zero quality issue within first 6 months of joining by performing detail root cause investigation such as batch FIFO practice & commonality finding on laser scriber machine that induced particle issue.

  • Closely work with production team and other departments to enhance dummy wafer quality.
