1. Strategic Planning and Implementation

• Develop, plan, and execute annual and quarterly operational plans in line with the Forest Management Plan (FMP).
• Ensure harvesting, silviculture, road construction, and plantation activities are aligned with company objectives.
• Optimize resource allocation (labor, machinery, and budget) for maximum efficiency.

2. Harvesting and Production Management

• Oversee timber harvesting operations, ensuring productivity targets and quality standards are met.
• Implement and monitor efficient harvesting systems (yarder, shovel logging, conventional methods, etc.) suitable to terrain and conditions.
• Ensure compliance with approved harvesting plans, coupe boundaries, and environmental requirements.

3. Plantation Establishment and Maintenance

• Supervise site preparation, planting, and silvicultural treatments (weeding, fertilization, thinning, pruning).
• Monitor tree growth, health, and mortality rates to achieve plantation targets.
• Coordinate nursery operations and ensure supply of quality seedlings.

4. Infrastructure and Logistics

• Plan and manage road construction, maintenance, and related infrastructure to support log extraction and transport.
• Ensure log transport and delivery schedules are met efficiently and safely.

5. Compliance and Sustainability

• Ensure all activities comply with national forestry regulations, certification standards (e.g., MTCS/PEFC, FSC), and environmental guidelines.
• Implement measures to reduce environmental impact, including soil and water protection, wildlife conservation, and buffer zone management.

6. Financial and Contract Management

• Prepare and monitor operational budgets and cost control measures.
• Negotiate, manage, and monitor contractor performance, rates, and compliance with contract terms.
• Review and recommend rate adjustments based on productivity and market conditions.

7. Safety and Workforce Management

• Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all operations.
• Supervise and mentor supervisors, foresters, and operational staff.
• Ensure training and competency development for machinery operators, chainsaw operators, and field crews.

8. Monitoring, Reporting, and Communication

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress and compliance.
• Prepare operational reports (harvest volumes, plantation progress, road construction, cost performance).
• Act as liaison between senior management, contractors, government authorities, and certification bodies.

1.To ensure the smooth operation of Planning Department (Planning, Survey Section & Mapping Section)

2. To understand and disseminate latest information laws, rules and regulations set by Government departments on environmental issue to the managements, staffs and contractors.

3.To liaise with EPD on environmental issues from time to time.

4. Conduct visit and prepare environmental compliance reports in the project area.

5. To liaise with the Forestry Department related to the coupe permit, and periodic reports for the project area.

6. To prepare the Annual work Plan and Compliance Report.

7. To compile and submit the Forestry Department Quarterly Report

8. To ensure the Forest operation is in accordance to the Forest Management Plan.

9. Responsible to clean the concession boundary and dealing with Land and Survey department.

10. To prepare the Plantation Planting Program for Industrial Tree Plantation Area.

11. Responsible to prepare Comprehensive

12. Harvesting Plan (CHP) for the Natural Forest Management Area.

13. Responsible to the maps production for the Forestry and Timber Division.

14. To conduct Forest Inventory for Natural forest and Plantation area

15. Responsible to provide survey works for the Forestry and Timber Division.

16. Responsible to prepare yearly budget for the Planning Department.

1.Conducting internal audit to the plantation and provide reports on the FFB Quality Control Checking in the estate and mills.

2.To provide reports on the Pest and Disease in the estates.

3. To provide Quality Manuring Control reports in the estates

4. Provide GPS and maps service for the estates.

5. To do yearly Leaf Samplings for the estates.
