  • PIC to supervise and monitor 33KV underground power cable laying, jointing, termination and testing for all main mainsubstation.
  • Coordinating all related critical vendor packages to support construction work and clarifying technical related issues which relates to installation, precommissioning and commissioning of electrical subsystem and system.
  • Technical pre-comm and commissioning support in term of design with field engineering team and take part interfacing with other related packages.
  • Clarify and discuss technical related issues related to engineering design of the project and give construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning support for the completion of subsystem and system before system handover.

  • Analyze, diagnose and predict potential equipment failures and recommend engineering solutions to avoid unscheduled breakdown and / or reduce recurrence of problems.
  • Assist in turnaround / shutdown plan & monitor turnaround / shutdown activities to achieve completion within schedule, which include preparation of job scope, identification materials and resources and scheduling and supervision on the execution.
  • Review availability and advise critical spare parts requirement to eliminate / avoid delay in maintenance activities.
  • To improve plant equipment reliability through defect elimination.
  • Conduct safety audit, develop job hazard analysis (JSA) and implement HSE initiative in accordance to HSE regulation and policy to achieve zero lost time accident / incident (LTA / LTI) in all maintenance activities.

  • Involve and lead in root cause analysis study for identified electrical equipment as to solve the problem and avoid repetitive.
  • Execution of Predictive Maintenance Activity (PDM) to HV and LV switchboard (11kV, 3.3kV and 415V), selected motor, step down transformer (132kV to 11kV, 11kV to 3.3kV, 11kV to 415V) and cable. The activities involve partial discharge monitoring, tangent delta, thermography and ultrasonic sonic scanning.
  • Prepare for budget data submission and utilise the expenditure according to approve OPEX and CAPEX.
  • Proposed and handle electrical equipment plant improvement activity. Define and presented the problem statement to management of change (MOC) committee, study for solution and shared the proposal.
  • Special Project:
  • Gas Turbine Generator (11kV) maintenance servicing which involve job planning which includes scope of work preparation, job hazard analysis and execution at site.
  • PCFK Short Circuit, Relay Coordination and Arc Flash Study at UET.
  • PCFK Risk Assessment of HV Ex 'N' Motor Driving Flammable Gas Compressor in Zone 2 Area.
  • Troubleshooting of E-57-04 heater. Able to modify the termination of the heater although one element shorted to earth. Reduce the downtime of the equipment since it's a long lead item.

  • Silo Vent Filter Pulse Jet Controller. Proposed to replace purging system because the current system using an obsolete system/purging sequence card. The obsolete system was designed and bought during commissioning from India. So it will cost a lot to change the whole system to the brand new updated system. So volunteered to do the purging system by using Mitsubishi PLC. Since the plant having the software which can develop ladder diagram, I used the software to develop the purging sequence (ladder diagram). I successfully created better sequence compared to the original design by introducing timer and double confirmation sequence which make the purging better, reliable and efficient.
