RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MANAGEMENT & MAINTENANCE OF:

A) MANAGEMENT & MAINTENANCE OF MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL TOOLS.

I) Ensure the proper management and maintenance works of M&E tools for 9 water treatment plants, 11 raw water pump houses and 72 water booster pump houses.

B) MANAGEMENT & MAINTENANCE VEHICLES.

I) Ensure the proper management and maintenance of 167 multi types of vehicles for the operation usage of Syarikat Air Melaka.

II) Responsible for the analysis of existing vehicle maintenance records.

III) Advise and proposed the management on the needs of new vehicles based on the vehicle maintenance analysis.

IV) Ensure all procedure followed by the company protocol, rules, and regulations.


A) MANAGEMENT OF PROJECT WITH INVOLVEMENT OF MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL WORKS

I) Planned and manage all the upgrading projects and all new projects with involvement of M&E works.

II) Ensure the contractors and other parties strictly follow the contract regulations set by Syarikat Air Melaka.

III) Be the focal person for the approval of the changes, or new additional item on site.

IV) Lead the projects to ensure the completion and readiness of the projects.

V) Design and determine all the required specification for pumping system

1. Determine system curve based on current and projection demand for supply or water treatment system that require pumping activities.

2. Determine parameter for pumps, motor and piping system by using hydraulic calculation formula

3. Determine the most suitable type of pumps and drive considering performance and maintenance forecast.

4. Choose the best type of starter for electric motor considering suitability and potential of energy saving based on operation application.

Project:

1.Replacing 2 nos of Raw Water Pump with capacity of 55 Million Liters /Days (MLD)

· vertical Split casing Pump with long Drive Composite shaft

· 1500 kw Slip Ring Round Wound Motor

· Rotor Resistance Starter

2.Installation 2 nos of new Raw Water pump with capacity of 8MLD at Durian Tunggal Raw Water pump House with associated intake canal:

· Vertical Turbine Pump with improve double bowl assembly from existing single bowl.

· Redesign piping system to get optimum output related to pump capacity.

· Selection of 6 poles medium speed motor based on pumping head not exceed 70 meter.

3.Construction of new Terminal Reservoir at Lendu completed with Pumping system

· Horizontal Split casing Pump

· Variable speed Drive

4. Improvisation of existing pumping system to accommodated current supply demand

5.introduction of online pumping system to cater latest demand at affected supply system due to increasing numbers of new application, majorly involving big spike in demand for industries consumer.

As immediate measure to tackle demand issue while constructing new water treatment plant


A) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY SYSTEM

I) Launch the Sustainable Energy Management System, SEMS since 2017.

II) Appointed as Secretary of Energy Management Committee for Syarikat Air Melaka.

III) Registered Electrical Energy Manager (REEM) for SAMB

1. Establish sustainable Energy management System (SEMS) complete with Energy management Working Procedures as reference

2. Conduct internal energy Audit to all Energy Accounting Centre (EAC) and come out with Energy Saving Measurement (ESM)

3. Monitor and control electrical energy usage thru effective engagement with user by periodically meeting

4. Study and explore possibilities for Renewable energy utilization such as Solar System, Micro Turbine and many more.

5. Optimize pump and motors performance in purpose to energy usage optimization.
