Project

Fast-paced project focused on the design and implementation of a new 80MW data center located in Shah Alam, Selangor Malaysia. The campus comprises four Data Halls, an Electrical Yard, a Mechanical Yard, 275kV Substation and additional facility areas.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical LV & MV systems including power distribution, detailed electrical schematics, layout diagrams,Earthing & Lightning System, Lighting and Power Socket, Cable containment, EPMS and PA system. Issuance of Issued for Construction (IFC) electrical drawings
• Preparing electrical schedule and report includes Cable schedule, containment schedule, equipment schedule & lighting lux report
• Conduct electrical studies include short circuit analysis, load flow, voltage drop calculation & protection discrimination study.
• Design and implement Integrated lighting system utilizing the DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) lighting
• Review vendor & GC Submittal, RFI & develop of electrical specifications to define product and system requirements in accordance with local or international codes and standards.
• Define the scope demarcation between the various parties involves
• Coordinated and managed interfacing tasks between different systems, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with project requirements
• Utilized the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) platform to manage and streamline the submission and approval process for all project drawings, transmittal & BIM modelling.
• Oversee site inspection during construction and installation activities.

Project
A new offshore LNG import terminal is proposed to be located in the southern waters of Hong Kong and will provide facilities that enable LNG carriers to deliver cargoes of LNG which will be transferred and stored in the FSRU Vessel's LNG storage tank. The LNG will be regasified and transported via a new pipeline to the power plant gas receiving station.

Responsibilities

• Performing system design involving cable sizing, SLD, coordination and protection scheme, earthing studies, cable layout, specification development etc.
• Lead for electrical package design such as UPS AC, DC charger, switchgear, transformer, lighting system, power DB etc.
• Prepare a load flow study report, short circuit study & arch flash by using ETAP.
• Prepare in creation of cable schedule, MTO, BOM & drawing.
• Ensure design complied with explosive(Ex) standard and recommended practice standard as highlighted during FEE design.
• Perform bid and technical clarification review, system studies, detail engineering and manage deliverables according to project milestone.
• Liaise with relevant consultants, civil work package contractor & sub-contractor to ensure smooth progress of works.
• Direct discussion with client and vendor outlining realistic achievable deliverables targets.
• Update engineering documents, perform acceptance test and provide site support to commission team.

Forest City is a large-scale, mixed-use development located in Johor, Malaysia, encompassing residential, commercial, and recreational areas. The project spans several phases, with an ambitious plan to create a sustainable urban ecosystem that integrates technology, nature, and a high quality of life for its residents.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical system which involve load calculation, transformer sizing, cable calculation & routing, circuit breaker sizing, cable containment, lighting & power distribution and earthing calculation.
• Review shop drawing, method of statement & product submission
• Oversee electrical system installation to ensure compliance with approved IFC drawing and specification.
• Conduct inspection on site accordance to approved drawing, specification and method statement.
• Monitor contractors and vendors during maintenance activities
• Prepare regular reports on quality performance, including inspection reports, testing results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
• Track the progress of quality-related activities, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders regarding quality issues and concerns
• Proactively identify potential risks to quality and propose solutions to mitigate those risks

Project

This cementing project involves the installation and execution of well cementing operations for offshore oil and gas wells in the Kemaman and Miri regions of Malaysia. Cementing is a crucial step in well construction, ensuring the integrity and safety of the well by preventing fluid migration, isolating geological formations, and providing structural stability

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment used during cementing operations.
• Assist with the installation of electrical systems and equipment required for cementing operations, such as cementing pumps, mixing units, and related control systems.
• Quickly identify and troubleshoot electrical faults in cementing equipment, including motors, control panels, power supply, and automation systems
• Conduct electrical system tests on cementing pumps, motors, and other equipment before and after operation to ensure they are working within normal parameters
• Calibrate electrical instruments and sensors used in the cementing process to ensure accurate measurements and operations
• Continuously monitor the electrical performance of cementing equipment and systems during operations to ensure they are running efficiently.
• Record data related to electrical usage, maintenance, and performance of the cementing equipment for reporting and troubleshooting purposes
• Perform routine electrical system inspections to identify wear and tear on components and prevent unexpected failures
• Assist in the commissioning of new electrical equipment or systems required for cementing operations, ensuring they meet operational and safety standards
