Summary

I am honored to be chosen for the MHCC Pre Opening and set up the hotel by Tabung Haji Berhad. My responsibility as the General Manager of Movenpick Hotel & Convention Centre is to look for all aspects of operations at the hotel, day-to-day staff management and guests. Being an ambassador for the brand and hotel, I have to provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction. I have to work very closely with the hotel owner’s Tabung Haji Berhad and other stakeholders. My reporting lines are direct to the Board of Directors of LTH, the corporate governance of Movenpick and now also to AccorHotels as a brand owner. Responsible for managing the hotel management team (HOD's) and overall hotel targets to deliver an excellent guest experience. As a General Manager, I would also be required to manage between profitability and guest satisfaction measures.

  • ISG Airport Hotel, Istanbul - Lowered down of the operation cost from 60% to 29% within 8 months upon joining.
  • Tune Hotel KLIA2 - Pre-opening Team, Soft and Grand opening of the 400 rooms hotel
  • Best Western Premier @ The Haven, Ipoh - Pre-opening Team, Soft opened the hotel block with 400+ units as per the Best Western KPI and another 300 units of the residential block within the required time.
  • Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd - Increased KLIA Express Bulk purchases on monthly basis from 300 to 500 tickets of KLIA express service.
  • Midah Hotel Kuala Lumpur - Obvious increased of revenue and occupancy within first 2.5 months of employment
  • Suria Resorts Management Sdn Bhd - Opening of the latest addition to the group, a city hotel in Johor Bahru.
  • Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur - Soft Opening of the hotel on 19th July 1999 with the Grand Opening on 22nd September 1999.
