Enhanced team performance and ensured adherence to quality standards through a commitment to continuous improvement. Delivered continuous quality enhancements by monitoring and tracking performance metrics to streamline manufacturing processes.
Led F2 QA (July 2022 - June 2023) and F1 QA (July 2023 onwards) team.
F1 QA covers the inspections based on built-in standards and specifications to meet the required performance.
Developed and optimized the inspection processes to enhance inspection capability and reduce flow out.
Successful model introduction during this period :
Led and managed team members to familiarize the new model introduction method to ensure smooth production lines and inspection readiness.
Through Mazda Production System knowledge; Developed, standardized, and continuously improved program worksheet, reducing process variation and redundancy.
Through Global Launch Centre knowledge, owned defect prevention strategy during new model launches, driving first-time-right at inspection and assembly to reduce early-stage defects.
Designed and optimized inspection layouts and process flows, increasing efficiency by 25% and improving line balancing.
Improved line performance using structured problem-solving and the 4M method (Man, Machine, Material, Method), reducing downtime and improving throughput consistency.
Developed and executed structured training and coaching programs for engineers and technicians, improving team skill competency and reducing operator error rate.
Served as Acting Manager during superior’s absence, leading daily operations, decision-making, manpower allocation, and escalation management.
Led F2 QA ( May 2014 - June 2022)
F2 QA covers dynamic driving performance, showers and paint inspection to ensure overall performance met the criteria together with the exceptional perfect paint finishing quality.
Successful model introduction during this period :
Directed line balancing studies to achieve Ready-to-Operate (RTO) quality standards and optimize inspection workload and manpower efficiency.
Drove SQCDM and GETC performance improvement programs, initiating and leading continuous improvement projects across Quality and Production teams.
Successfully implemented first GETC station at QA. Knowledge and skill had high impact to other section to start improvement action.
Represented the organization in customer-facing reviews and management
Expert in paint inspection and judgment with a solid role in color the color matching committee weekly review.
Main Role as Door Group Testing Leader. Sub role as Vehicle Test (Static and Dynamic)
Planning and executing related test method and actual evaluation items on single part as well on complete vehicle to confirm part quality and performances met all specifications performance criteria. Applicable for initial stage of model development, mass production, localization, improvement and countermeasure parts.
Attend customer complaints and do market survey to identify parts problem, actual customer usage behavior and improvements ideas to enhance level of inspection method and judgment criteria.
Highly involved in early design stage and design review activity to provide crucial feedback, information and ideas for designer to design excellent part with good quality, much lower cost and good assemble ability process. This led to excellent product with lower production defect per unit (DPU) and eliminated problem recurrence.
Conduct benchmarking activities for future model developments target performance preparation. Mainly involved in all doors, hood and fuel lid system benchmarking. Develop benchmarking procedures, methods and analysis summary reports. Creates related benchmarking database for R&D department.
Produced and revised core Testing Documents (Perodua Testing Procedure-PTP, SOP, Check Sheet, Rules and Manual) to meet standard criteria (Toyota, Daihatsu and Perodua).
Did inspection on complete vehicle and during production assembly process. Inspection method are included both static and dynamic inspection. This is to reduce DPU and to ensure no defect product outflow to customer.
