o Ensure high availability/uptime and product yield at Backend Inspection and Packing Equipment such as ICOS (CI-T120 & CI-9450), RVSI (LSI-3900 & LSI-5700), Rofin Laser Marking, LKT-Markem Ink Marking machines, VIP (Marking Inspection), vacuum sealer, strapping machine, barcode printers and oven.
o Undertakes processes, material procedures, and tooling and equipment improvements by making recommendations and executes solutions to improve efficiency, utility, quality, reliability and increase performance and throughput (OEE).
o Identifies, evaluates and resolves technical product or process problems with materials (IDM/DM) and equipment and initiate proactive solutions by applying FMEA, DOE, 4D and 8D method.
o Qualify, manage and coordinate all new and existing In-Direct Materials and Direct Materials for tray and tape & reel packaging process.
o Monitors performance, quality, and reliability of processes, material, products, equipment, identify problem or unfavorable deviations, recommends and execute corrective actions.
o Generate proper documentation and process procedures and implements plan for introduction of expanding products, processes, equipment, tooling or machinery into manufacturing.
o Deals with suppliers, vendors and fabricators to design and implement improvements to products, processes, material, tooling equipment, or documentation which enhance the utility, quality, reliability or cost effectiveness in accordance with set specifications and EHS standard.
o Responsible to solve, improve and enhance process & equipment issues and establish sufficient essential spares and consumables stock levels to support equipment maintenance
o Supervise a group of Associate Engineers in carrying out their duties and responsibilities as well as providing/arranging them trainings/skill set.
o Responsible for Contract Manufacturer quality matrix
o Responsible and key leader in ISO 9001:2000, ISO14000 and Manufacturing Optimization team

• Involve thoroughly in oven test of the transceiver modules for 4 Corner Highly Accelerated Stress Screen Test, Temperature Compensation Test and Burn-In Test
• Responsible on the availability/uptime of Burn-in Oven, Highly Accelerated Stress Test Equipment, Temp Cycle Equipment etc.
• Buy-off newly build DUT boards (PCB boards) and establish tracking records to monitor hardware life expectancy.
• Communicate with NPI teams and vendors in any design changes for all the hardware peripherals.
• Responsible for equipments, test boards debug and electronic components inventory
• Undertakes equipment and process improvements to increase equipment performance and throughput.
• Supervised 14 Technicians of Test Hardware Technical and Maintenance group in carrying out their daily task in repairing Short Wave and Long Wave DUT boards and Burn In Boards

• Involve thoroughly in final test of the tape head products, resolving process flow, improving production yield, overcome failure analysis and solving line issues
• Responsible to reduce customer return (RMA) from 2.2% to 1%
• Set up internal drive testing process
