Graduating with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from UNPAD, Bandung, Indonesia, in 2005, he began his career in orthopaedics and trauma before transitioning into medicolegal expertise. As a Senior Assistant Director at the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), he managed medical negligence and malpractice cases for government hospitals across the country.
Driven by a passion for healthcare innovation, Dr. Asnawi later founded Altica Sdn Bhd, a thriving medical enterprise that operates three private clinics in Klang Valley and supplies medical equipment to government and private hospitals across Malaysia. Under his leadership, the company secured exclusive distributorships for leading medical equipment brands and became a major provider of Automated External Defibrillators (AED) and Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
As a certified Basic Occupational First Aid (BOFA) trainer under HRDF, he has trained numerous healthcare professionals and corporate teams. Notably, he spearheaded Malaysia’s first drone-delivered AED emergency response system, revolutionizing pre-hospital emergency care and setting new standards for rapid medical intervention.
