• Overall, responsible for the Factory's Operations, including Production, Engineering, Maintenance, HR, Supply Chain, IT and RM/FG Warehouse. Around 300 direct and 100 indirect employees. Sales volume 96 mil RM/year.
• Analyze Sales PO and forecast for preparation of short term and long-term capacity, manpower, machines, tooling, RM purchase projection and OPEX projection.
• Plan overall production schedule based on customer requirements. (PO & forecast).
• Evaluate and solve production capacity vs customer delivery, according to available 4M resources.
• Analyze, plan and manage the monthly operational expenses ie OT, maintenance, utilities, transport (manpower & logistic), packaging and general expenses.
• Organize daily operation meetings and monthly KPI meetings.
• Organize a monthly meeting with HR and Production to resolve manpower issues.
• Lead the team for NPI development and mass production preparation.

• Major Achievement: Revamp the SOP for raw materials replenishment planning and inventory stock holding policy to reduce stock. Implement the ABC category. Reduce from RM52mil (closing 2011) to RM40.5mil (closing 2015).
• Implement a lean stocking policy (2week for consumable/packaging, 1 month for local source materials and 3 months for overseas materials).
• Implement consignment stock for expensive import raw materials ie pigment worth 3mil RM.
• Streamline the “Part No” for 3 factories to eliminate duplication on similar items/parts thus driving inventory reduction.
• Consolidated the planning, purchasing, receiving and storage of materials for 3 plants by sharing and centralization.
• JIT implementation of high volume & high runner materials. Custom control for low runner & special materials.
• Leading and coordinating with R&D and Production to consume RM 2.2mil ageing materials.

• Managing Store Department operation inclusive of 3 executives, 4 supervisors, 2 clerks and 14 storekeepers. 3 materials warehouse located in 3 separate factories in Kluang. Total inventory 42mil RM 4500 pallet location. 7 forklifts, 3 shovels, 1 excavator and 2 dump trucks. To support 24hr/7days manufacturing operation.
• Responsible for RM planning and issuing PR.
• Responsible for managing inventory strategy, MRP planning, demand analysis and forecasting based on Sales & Operation planning.
• Responsible for preparing and implementing annual department KPI, Capex and Opex budget.
• Responsible for receiving, warehousing and kitting RM, consumables and engineering spare parts.
• Responsible for all the electronics transactions inclusive of approval of Purchased Requisition, Receiving and Kitting to production.

• Coordinate and resolve supply chain issues between Dyson, Main Contractors (VSI, SKP, Meiban, ATA) and vendors.
• Review RFQ cost details – Cost of manpower, cycle time, raw materials, processing overhead, packaging, freight and scrap allowances.
• Perform cost benchmark and cost breakdown for new components to ensure the quotation submitted by the supplier is reasonable and competitive.
• Negotiate RFQ and commercial contracts for new and existing vendors. (MOQ, delivery term, lead time, credit term and currency etc.)
• To prepare, present and execute the annual procurement strategy.
• To source NPD components locally and abroad (mainly in Taiwan & China) as per the Dyson designer requirement.
• To monitor and report to management the core materials ie plastic resin, metals, aluminium and copper price movements to ensure proper components costing.
• To review, audit and approve new vendors.
• To ensure components supplied comply with Dyson specifications and related safety certification UL, CSA, BSI, CEE etc requirements.

• Leading the cost-saving initiative and preparing monthly cost-saving implementation reports. (Target RM 2 mil/year).
• Coordinate & solve problems with the Dyson team and vendor to ensure NPD realization is within the time frame.

• Leading the Procurement Department consist of 2 officer and 2 clerks.
• Responsible for planning and purchasing raw materials for wire and cable manufacturing. Mainly insulation chemical, copper rod, brass wire, aluminium wire, plastic parts, packaging, carton box etc, Overall consumption of 5mil RM/month.
• Negotiate with the vendor the copper contract in terms of premium cost, pricing scheme, delivery and quantity.
• Participate in monthly copper planning with the Sales and Production team to derive copper demand schedule.
• Monitor LME price trend movement and report to the top management.
• Procurement of services, spare parts, maintenance & repair job.
• PR & PO processing, receiving, warehousing and distribution to production.
• Managing the raw materials physical and electronic warehouse operation. (BAAN Software).
• Perform logistic arrangement and custom clearance documentation with the shipping agent.

• Manage overall supply chain matter from receiving customer PO, generating MRP plan, production planning until delivery.

• Compile sales demand and generate production schedule, with consideration of available inventory and available capacity.

• Implement Toyota Production System intensively with guidance from the Japanese coach. Convert the production shop floor from machine base work station to U cell prod system. Eliminated WIP stock and reduced movement. Overall reduce 50% of production space area.
• Leading the QCC Team and participating in the yearly QCC convention at National Productivity Corporation.

• Involved in specific tasks to set up a gold plating line at subcontractor premises. Involved in developing new wire with gold plating.
