Operational Oversight

• Manage the sand mixing batching plant, ensuring precise batching of materials for fiber cement board production.
• Oversee the operation of grinding mills, optimizing processes for efficiency and quality.
• Monitor production parameters and adjust settings as necessary to maintain quality standards for fiber cement boards ranging from 6mm to 16mm in thickness.

Maintenance Management

• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for the manufacturing units, including autoclaves and forklifts.
• Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting to identify areas for improvement and ensure equipment reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and machinery performance metric
  Spare Parts and Workshop Management.
• Manage inventory and procurement of spare parts, ensuring availability for uninterrupted operations.
• Oversee the operations of the spare part workshop, ensuring quality workmanship and timely service.
• Collaborate with vendors for sourcing and maintaining relationships for spare parts and equipment upgrades.

5S Implementation

• Implement and maintain 5S principles across the manufacturing units to enhance workplace organization, safety, and efficiency.
• Conduct regular training sessions to foster a culture of continuous improvement among team members.
  Perform audits to ensure compliance with 5S standards and address any discrepancies.

Collaboration & Reporting

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and safety, to ensure alignment on operational goals.
• Prepare and present reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and productivity metrics to management.

• This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments of equipment performance in various stages of cement production, including limestone crushing, raw milling, and more.
• The focus is on implementing reliability-centered maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and enhance efficiency.
• Key responsibilities include: Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Leading RCA for major equipment failures using methodologies like the Teething Apollo method, collaborating with maintenance and operations teams to uncover issues and suggest corrective actions.
• Action Plan Development, Creating and managing action plans based on RCA outcomes to bolster operational reliability and prevent recurrences of equipment failures, while monitoring the effectiveness and making adjustments as necessary.
• Performance Monitoring, Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for equipment reliability and compiling monthly reports to senior management, highlighting findings, actions, and further recommendations.
• Collaboration and Training, Working with cross-functional teams to align on reliability objectives and conducting training sessions for staff on best practices for equipment maintenance and operation.
• Continuous Improvement, Keeping abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, participating in initiatives aimed at operational excellence and achieving strategic objectives.
