Control Room (DCS) Experience:
- Monitor and control tank levels (TOV, NIV) to prevent overflow and ensure tank top safety.
- Manage crude oil loading/unloading operations, including valve line-up, pump start-up, and product routing.
- Monitor utility parameters such as instrument air pressure, power supply status, water pumps, and critical tank alarms.
- Respond to system alarms including high-high level, pump trips, or leak detection – take immediate corrective actions.
- Coordinate with field operators during transfer, startup, and isolation activities.
- Log operational data, alarm history, and shift handover notes into the system.
Field & Tank Operations:
- Inspect and operate pumps, valves, and flow lines during tank farm activities.
- Collect crude oil samples for BS&W and gravity testing.
- Assist shutdown/startup of crude systems and support maintenance team during isolations.
Confined Space Entry – AGT & Supervisor:
- Perform pre-entry gas testing (O₂, LEL, CO, H₂S) for tanks and vessels.
- Supervise confined space entry, ensuring PTW, rescue equipment, and standby teams are ready.
- Coordinate with safety officer for continuous monitoring and ensure compliance with ICOP 2010.
Single Buoy Mooring (SBM) Maintenance:
- Support offshore crude transfer operations via SBM, including hose draining and pressure testing.
- Assist with mooring rope checks, buoy inspection, and maintenance tasks during SBM shutdown.
Key Achievements:
- Successfully managed tank top levels during high-volume offloading with zero overfill incidents.
- Actively handled critical alarms with immediate isolation and escalation.
- Played dual role as field operator and basic panelman for efficient coordination.
