Research and Travelling

My research interest lies at the intersection of housing, culture, and sustainability, exploring the intricate connections between built environments, cultural identity, and environmentally conscious design practices. This multidisciplinary inquiry seeks to unravel the complexities inherent in creating housing solutions that are not only ecologically sustainable but also deeply rooted in the cultural fabric of communities. My primary focus is to delve into the profound influence of cultural dynamics on housing patterns and practices. By conducting extensive ethnographic studies.  My interest is to uncover how cultural values, traditions, and social norms shape the preferences and behaviors related to housing within different communities. This involves investigating the role of cultural aesthetics, spatial rituals, and communal traditions in influencing the design and utilization of residential spaces. I am particularly interested in identifying adaptable and culturally  sensitive approaches to sustainable housing, ensuring that eco-friendly  features align with, and enhance, the cultural identity of the  inhabitants. This involves considering factors such as vernacular  architecture, local materials, and traditional building techniques that  contribute to both sustainability and cultural preservation. Anticipating and addressing future challenges is an integral part of my  research agenda. I am interested in examining potential obstacles to the  integration of sustainable and culturally sensitive housing, including  economic constraints, technological barriers, and societal resistance.  This forward-looking perspective contributes to the development of  strategies that address emerging challenges and facilitate the long-term  viability of housing solutions.
